Worked exactly as I expected
I bought this to replace the internal power cable for my ACER laptop that had worn out. It plugged in and exactly replaced the original. I would buy it again---although I hope I won't have to!

A little too short for the Acer Aspire E5-573
Bought for my son's Acer Aspire E5-573 laptop. When trying to install it I noticed the cable was too short. If the jack was installed in it's location, there wouldn't be enough slack in the wiring for the plug end to be inserted into it's jack. I ended up cutting off part of the wiring harness and the plug end from the old jack, snipping the plug end from the new jack, and soldered the old harness leads to the new harness and socket, being sure to use heat shrink on all four leads and adding an additional heat shrink sleeve over all the wires like the original. After doing that, It was long enough to install. Aside from the cable being too short. the jack works well, when the power supply is plugged in, the unit works as intended and has a secure connection. I would suggest to the manufacturer to add a little extra length to the wiring harness. Perhaps mine was a one-off factory defect, but I would recommend to others to buy from another source, or make sure the length of your original cable is the same or shorter than this one. I would say that the cable I received was about 10-20mm shorter than it needed to be to be installed without modification in my use case.
