Perfect charging speed and works with aftermarket batteries
This is honestly the perfect charger for Makita batteries because even though it’s considered a slow charger, it actually charges that are very decent wattage. As you can see one of my pictures it draws right around 60 W which I personally would consider a fast charger myself. Once you get over 100 W charging speed you’re generating more heat and stressing the cells and eventually lowering their lifespan. By charging at a lower wattage, the cells aren’t stressed and the battery health will remain high for a very long time. This charger also worked perfectly for an aftermarket battery that uses 21700 cells as shown in one of my pictures. It’s a wider and bigger battery and it fit just fine and it charges it perfectly. The price for this official charger is also unbelievably cheap. I bought aftermarket chargers that barely had 20 W charging speed, which is pathetic compared to this official one. The price is cheap and there’s no reason why you shouldn’t buy this official charger instead of aftermarket units that cost just as much. Highly recommend this unit, hope this helps

Apparently charges slower? way cheaper though
Apparently this version of the charger is slower than the wider version, but I dont really care. Don't need more than 2 batteries to swap between, for my purposes this thing works just fine and costs a lot less.

Makita baterrycharger.
Please be informed that the Makita charger I just received is defected. The baterry are not charging. The light indicator is not showing evertime I plug in to my house electric outlet. May I request for item replacement. Your reply is awaited with great interest.

Half the price same result.
I started looking for chargers at my local hardware store until i realized this was half the price. I was a little skeptical given the price of this but after confirming it was the right charger for my battery decided to order it right away. It took a few days to arrive but charges my battery in about 2 hrs.
