Feels as though the multitool is hovering next to your belt.
Great sheath, designed well and good choice of materials. Very slim, form-fitting and lightweight. I wish the clip swiveled so I could position my multitool at different spots on my belt, and so I could carry it horizontally which works better in some situations. But I understand that this may add bulk and weight which might defeat the engineer's design purpose. My only negative is that the clip is very stiff and not wide enough. But as it is, it works well and I'd definitely buy it again.

Amazing customer service!
I’ve had this product for about a year now and use it daily at work! Love the holder! Belt clips recently broke and I messaged about getting a new clip the response time was so quick and took care of me with absolutely no hassle or hesitation! This is a company I’d highly recommend and has great products

Durable for light use, I’d say it’s worth it.
Ok bout time for a review Had it for about 3 years, for me it’s been through light use, use it a couple times a week. I mainly got this so that I could remove the wave with one finger, and it has been OUTSTANDING for that purpose. Still holds the wave pretty well anger 3 years. I have to bend the top clips occasionally to keep it in tight. Kinda wish it wasn’t as soft a metal, or that that part was a bit stronger and springier but not a deal breaker. That said, the clip for your belt is just that, strong and springy; so the awesome. Holds the bit kit really well. The socket holes in the side have saved me a few times on some projects also(but it won’t fit in tight spaces for that). Paints wearing through exactly where and how you’d expect, not great, and not bad. Occasionally gets caught when trying to put the wave in, but that’s not the holsters fault mostly me in a hurry. You do have to get used to something metal being on your hip, instead of the nylon or leather pouches, but all the weight is in the leatherman, not the case. All in all, if you like your wave, and you need a case, it’s well worth it for the utility. My compliments to the designer.

HIgh quality well constructed product with a few warts that a buyer needs to be aware of
First and foremost, this is a high quality and well made product. It is everything the manufacturer claims it to be. However, it does have some warts and potential buyers need to understand what they are buying. If you buy this product, it is important to understand that you are buying a metal box to hang from your belt to carry a Leatherman multi-tool. You will be placing your Leatherman which has rounded edges and corners inside a metal box that has sharper edges and corners. This means that anything you bump into with this will lose. Whether it is a doorway, the side of a car, a person, or a chair. When you bump into something, it will leave a mark, if not damage. And you will bump into stuff. There is a reason why traditional holders are made of nylon or leather. They protect without damaging. The outer edge of this holder protrudes about 1.2 inches (31mm) from the belt. For comparison, the Leatherman Wave+ that I have measures about 0.7 inches (18mm) wide. So this holder adds almost twice the width of the Leatherman Wave+. I found myself bumping this holder into a lot of things. If you wear this on a belt, you will have generally three options 1. Ahead of the hip. Consider this to be a 1-2 o’clock or an 11-10 o’clock carry position. If you carry it ahead of the hip, you stand a good chance of catching a corner of this holder in your leg when you sit down. It will also ride up, when you sit and it makes it easy to catch your arm on the upper sharp edges. 2. Behind the hip. Consider this to be a 4-5 o’clock or an 8-7 o’clock carry position. If you carry it behind the hip, please be careful sitting. You will have, in fact, a metal box attached to your butt. I found that it catches a lot on chairs and I had a real concern that the lower corners may damage a leather chair or car seat. 3. On the Hip. Consider this to be a 3 or 9 o’clock carry position. This extends this holder the furtherest from your body and makes it very easy to bump it into things including your arm. It will also catch on the arms of any chair. None of these are deal breakers, but a purchaser needs to understand the effects of having a 1.2 inch (31mm) deep box attached to their waist. It will get in the way. In my opinion, I think that a belt is the last place you would want to carry this. I think this holder will be excellent if attached to a bag or shoulder strap or directly onto a vest of some sort. This is not a low observable holder. If you wish to carry your Leatherman in an unobtrusive way, this is not the holder for you. If you carry this holder with your shirt over it, it will print considerably. Since it is a box, it will print as a rectangular object. This is a good way to give people the impression you are carrying a small gun! If you carry this holder with your shirt tucked in, everyone in the room will notice the guy/gal with the black metal box on their hip. This is not necessarily a bad thing as due to the open face design, it is readily apparent that you are carrying a multi-tool. Multi-tools are less scary than knives can be to many people. With this holder, no one can accuse you of concealing what you are carrying. You are carrying a multi-tool and everyone is going to know. Retention in the holder is very good. It will not hold the Leatherman Wave+ if the holder is inverted and subject to a sudden jar, but honestly, the chances of that happening are rare. Under most operating conditions, this holder will retain the Leatherman well. It is important to recognize that it is only retaining the Leatherman by the friction of two spring leafs. This holder and a Leatherman Wave+ is silent with no rattling at all. Extraction is easy and well controlled. However, this holder can only hold the Leatherman with the two pivot screws up. The issue is that if you press up from the bottom, the Leatherman will naturally fall nicely into your hand for an easy, quick, and comfortable extraction--- upside down. The two piviot screws will be in the palm of your hand closest to your wrist. One of the many advantages of the Leatherman Wave + is the two blades that can be opened one handed. With the two pivot screws on your palm side of your hand, you will have to rotate the entire multi-tool to bring the pivot side to your finger side of your hand in order to open up the blades one handed. The work around is to, when extracting the multi-tool from the holder, rotate your hand and extract the multi-tool by grasping it from the side. A little less intuitive but very doable with some practice. All in all, a minor inconvenience. Reinsertion back into the holder is easy, but if you are not careful things can go bad. The holder has two vertical strips of metal on the outside edge. Your Leatherman has some small vertical gaps on the outer edges. If you don’t properly line things up, one of the vertical strips can get caught in one of the vertical gaps. Not really a major thing, but don’t jam the Leatherman into the holder. All the above are just characteristics of the base design of being a metal box to hold your Leatherman. A metal box is going to act like a metal box. Either it works for you or it doesn’t. There is one thing about this holder that I do feel is just a bad design. That is the clip. They could have done a much better job on the clip. I find this clip to be very hard to put on a belt and a lot easier to slip off a belt and that’s just the opposite of what I am looking for in such a clip. The ramp on the clip is steep and I have never been able to slip this clip over any of my belts. I have to grab both sides of the clip with my thumb and forefinger and pull the clip open in order to slip the clip over my belt. Often this entails a two hand operation with one hand holding the clip and the other hand holding the belt. This results in some most amusing contortions. I find it much easier to just slip the belt through the clip as if it were a traditional belt loop. On the other hand, I have had several experiences with the clip slipping up over a belt, especially any belt that has a tapered construction, when I sat down. I have never had the clip slip completely off my belt, but it has been too close for my comfort. I purchased the larger clip and the actual vertical measurement of the length of the clip portion is close to 2.3 inches (58mm). It works on most of my single thickness belts regardless of actual belt width. However, if you like to wear double thickness belts such as a gun belt, the width of the clip opening is about 0.25 inch (6mm). Wearing this on my Tucker belt spreads the metal clip and allows the holder to slip off the belt far too easily. I would not recommend this holder for a double thickness gun belt. For normal belts, this clip will fit well. On thinner casual belts the holder is free to slide along the belt. This is actually a good thing as I found myself constantly readjusting where this holder was on my hip depending on what I was doing. If I wanted to sit, I would slide the holder further to my hip. If I was walking, I would slide it further behind my hip. This was to avoid damaging things or myself with the metal box corners. I found this to be inconvenient. It should be noted that the edges of the belt clip are rather sharp. Catching the edge of the clip under a thumbnail can cause a cut. There are, frankly, much better clips out there. The clips that are on my IWB holsters work a lot better, can support a lot of weight, but at the same time are easy to put on and hard to slip off inadvertently. The clip is the only major complaint I have about the construction of this otherwise high quality product. The clip is not removable nor adjustable. A rather long review, I admit. But this is a very well made and high quality product. It does what the manufacturer claims it does. It is a good value for the materials and the construction. However, it is very important to recognize what this product is. This product is a metal box that attached to your belt. There are advantages and disadvantages of this. In my opinion, for my rather ordinary lifestyle, the disadvantages of using a metal box to carry my multi-tool outweigh the advantages. But that in no way should detract from the quality of this product. The product does what it is advertised to do and it does it well. It will protect your Leatherman even if it has to destroy anything around it. :)

I had my doubts but it's great
It looks bulky and pointy in pictures. I had my doubts that it would be comfortable and work well, but my leatherman leather sheath with the elastic panels was getting really beat up and the revised version of it looked even worse than the one I had. Well I don't have a lot of miles on it, but my initial impression is very positive. It's less bulky (by a little bit) than the leather pouch, but at least with a reinforced 1.5" nylon belt, it rides at jsut the right height and tucks in tight to the body without the slop the leather holster had . Due to this nice tucked into the body fit, although it has some corners that could be unpleasant if crammed into your body while sitting, it doesn't do so. I have the tension version with bit storage rather than the magnetic version, and while the pictures make it obvious that the metal tabs retain the tool, they don't retain the bits. Those operate on a friction fit and I don't see them slipping out easily. But they are way more accessible than with the leatherman sheath. I wont miss threading my sheath onto my belt. I suspect the experience would be less positive with a floppy 1.25" belt.
