The best King Ghidorah figure so far
Incredible sculpt that packs an awe factor with it's size and massive wingspan. Despite being a bit fragile and having to be somewhat assembled, it certainly pays off. While the lack of articulation in the wings is disappointing, the necks, heads, legs, and tails are all incredibly posable way more then any prior non-SH MonsterArts Ghidorah figures such as Bandai's Vinyl Grand King Ghidorah. The only other nitpick I have is the lack of accessories with the figure, but in light of everything else it more then makes up for it.

Wyatt (and Mum;) Approved
Wow so after all the wait, this finally was released and arrived and my boy was thrilled. I can understand some of the other reviews mean, the spikes ARE sharp, the wings can come a little loose (but honestly not to the extent that others have seemed to have- at least not ours) the stand is perfect and even though it was expensive, and my son is 12, (a die hard Godzilla fan, a bit of a nerd but I wouldn’t have him any other way 😘) he treasures this, takes great care of it, sets it up with all his other Godzilla (& Pacific Rim) figures and absolutely loves it. Again, yeah, it’s expensive and that’s annoying for a single mom- but I have zero regrets- he loves it and it’s pretty freakin awesome :) It’s very solid, and very very cool

Wings can fall off
Looks amazing! Very poseable. Comes with interchangeable stands for the wings to help support it stand. My only issue is the wings won’t stay on, they easily fall off.

S.H. Monsterarts Best Godzilla Toys EVER!
Excited to have a King Ghidorah that towers over all of my kaiju figures. The sculpt is awesome and, the paint job is spectacular. The wings are heavier than I thought but the holders allow for good set up, though too much handling will have them falling off, and the wings can break. Definitely not a toy to play with but one that looks so cool on a shelf.

Awesome SH monsterarts figure!
So many bad reviews for a product that people dont understand. Sh monsterarts is meant for DISPLAY and posing not play. You get what you pay for articulation and details are outstanding i have it displayed on my shelf now. Dont write a review if you arent familiar with the product.

The False King
Wow, this is a big figure. It was a bit hard to set up with the stands, but they work. It has fantastic sculpting as well. The paint apps are what lack a bit, but not much to bother me. It's mainly the back of the wings, but it's not like i'll be posing it with its back torwards me. Beware, the spikes on the wings are very sharp. It has really good articulation on the necks. The right wing is a bit loose, but that can be fixed. It also doesn't come with beams, but it's easy to make your own. Overall, I'm happy with it! A must have for any Godzilla/King Ghidorah fan!

beautiful figure but very fragile!
Love the figure as far as looks go. its very impressive but the plastic its made of seems very hard & brittle. Very sharp edges & falls apart so easily. So easily in fact you can't even place the figure on the shelf for display without a head, wing or tail falling off! Especially the wings! they're so heavy they just fall off unless the stand is beneath it. Once its in place, if someone touches it or just taps the shelf by mistake it crumbles. If i had known how fragile this figure was, no matter how impressive looking i would not have purchased.

KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GETTING BEFORE YOU BUY -- Be prepared to do some maintenance!
I'm giving this product three stars for the following reasons. + It is gorgeous to look at and pristinely detailed. + It has a wide range of motion. - It is extremely delicate, and will require some maintenance, and the price tag attached makes this dubious. - It is capable of holding a fair range of poses, but its design makes it cumbersome and time consuming to achieve many of them. + I like it. The first thing you'll notice out of the box is that the wings are heavy, and one or both of the joints may not hold the wings on well. This can be solved with some scotch tape, wrapped in a single layer around the joints to make the fit tighter. Quick and easy, nothing to be concerned about. The greater concern, in my view, is the tails. The tails, like the 3 heads, are made up of several segments, each on a ball joint, which gives them a good amount of flexibility (although less than you might imagine). However, because of warping and manufacture error, not all the ball joints fit snuggly in their respective sockets. That means the tails will simply fall apart without warning, often with minimal movement. I had a difficult time even attaching the tails because any amount of pressure would cause them to fall apart. For this, you'll want to identify the loose joints (those that most often fall apart) and apply a single layer of clear nail polish, and leave to dry over night. This will thicken the joint. With mine, I found even one layer was too much, and I had to really work the ball joint into its socket, probably taking off a half a layer of polish. But once I got it in, the fit was much more secure, although still not ideal. The tails still won't bear much movement, which means that any time I want to change the pose, I usually have to deal with reassembling the tail, but at least it won't fall apart at the slightest touch or movement anymore. Finally, Ghidorah comes with three stands, one for its body and one for each of its wings. The stands are adjustable, and can be made tall or short depending on what you're trying to do, but I have had some difficulty finding ways to do interesting things with the wings that the stands will support. Moving the wings too far forward seems to result in Ghidorah falling even with the stands, as the center stand doesn't do much to stabilize his body. I consider myself relatively proficient in the enterprise of figure posing, but this one presented an unwelcome challenge. You almost require a third hand to work with Ghidorah (and I needed my wife's help just to put him together), because of how heavy and delicate he can be coming right out of the box (this is mitigated if you've done the recommended maintenance). The tails, of course, are limited by what they can sustain without falling apart, the wings are limited by what the stands can support, but the heads seem to work very well, and have a strong range of motion (I like to have two of the heads yelling at 'Kevin' because I find it funny.) OVERALL: With proper care, this is a decent figure, but IT IS NOT A TOY!!! Even with the repairs I've done, it cannot sustain consistent play. It is meant to be posed and left alone. It's not for kids. He is so large that any attempt to grant a sculpt more than average mobility is going to naturally result in stability issues. It is also a hefty investment given its limitations, and so you may want to weigh how much this will serve your purposes, given the price, and whether or not something else might be better suited. I'm a life long Godzilla fan, and I really enjoy action figures, and even I found this to be uncomfortably expensive. Nonetheless, its scale and sculpt are daunting, and it is undeniably beautiful. If you can sustain the price tag and you don't mind the weaknesses, go for it.

The Ghidorah is massive which is awesome and to scale with the S h monster arts Godzilla. This figure is great for dioramas but very hard to pose
