Does it leave residue?

Do you mean if you were to remove it later? I haven't removed it from my table (wood) since the time I got it. I would say the adhesive is quite strong so I would assume it would leave some residue depending on the surface material but you should be able to remove the residue with just some general cleaning or worst case use some isopropyl alcohol pads.
