Simple, Reliable, and Actually Works
I wasn’t sure what to expect from the Hornady Dehumidifier Canister (model 95902), but I have to say it’s one of those rare products that just quietly does its job without any fuss. I bought it to protect my gun safe from moisture, especially living in a humid climate where rust can sneak up on you fast. The canister arrived ready to go no assembly, no setup headaches. Just pop it in and let it work. One thing I really like is the color changing crystals. They shift from blue to pink when it’s time to recharge, which is incredibly helpful and removes all the guesswork. You don’t have to “hope” it’s still working; you can actually see when it’s saturated. Recharging it is super easy just toss it in the oven for a couple of hours (follow the instructions; I think it’s around 300°F for 2 hours), let it cool, and it’s good as new. I’ve recharged it a couple of times now and it’s held up great. No mess, no smell, no weird leaks just dry air. Size-wise, it’s compact enough to fit in most safes or even small storage containers, but it still seems to cover a decent area. I’d say it’s ideal for a standard-sized safe. If you’ve got something much larger, you might need two. Bottom line: If you’re trying to keep moisture out of your safe, ammo cans, or other enclosed spaces, this little canister is a solid choice. It’s affordable, reusable, and does exactly what it promises. No batteries, no cords, no drama. Would definitely buy again.

Great product - Does exactly what it promises!
These reusable, silica-bead canisters work perfectly. I purchased two of them. Just put them in your safe, and as described, they'll continuously absorb moisture until saturated. When the cannisters are dry, the beads inside are blue. Over time, as they gradually absorb moisture & humidity, it's time to dry them out: Simply put them in a 300-degree oven for anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, and bingo! - they come out blue again, ready to go back in your safe (or course, let them cool down before putting them back in your safe - 300 degrees is hotter than you think!). See "before & after" photos: prior to going in the oven (pink), and after they came out (blue). I live in a wet climate, and if you do too, it's important to check them regularly. Keeping them dry (i.e., blue) will ensure you're keeping moisture away from your valuables. These are a great alternative to buying an electric dehumidifier, which takes up space, requires a power source, and needs continuous emptying. If you don't want to go that route, these Hornady cannisters are all you need! Good luck & keep your safe dry!

Looks nice and more importantly works
During winter and spring it lasted 4.5 months before needing to be recharged. During the summer months about every 4 weeks give or take a week depending how dry or rainy it has been. Besides that it keeps my safe around 50% humidity During the summer months. Happy with the purchase and recharging isn't too bad. Set it at 400* for 1 hour, remove with glove and shake the beads around and replace and repeat up to 4 times. Found taking it out every hour and shake the beads around helped to get all of thr beads to dry out and recharge better than just throwing it in for an extended time. * leave the plastic piece over the top hole. Didn't see any direction telling me to take it off but it appears like something you should take off. If you do all the beads will fall out if tipped over.

These are the real
These Hornady de-humidifiers are the real deal. I keep humidity monitors in each of my two gun safes. Before buying the Hornady’s, the humidity averaged 58%. Way too high. 24 hours after placing one of these in each safe, the humidity reading dropped to 43 %. The NRA recommends about a 50% average humidity level to prevent rusting. My safes are roughly 5’ tall, 30” Deep, 36” wide. Really happy with the Hornady units.

After reading a few negative comments about the drying renewal process, I've looked at the product and you can easily remove the round plastic window and his metal ring with a flat screwdriver. Put the dryer on a cookie sheet (parchemin) and a plate to dissipate heat on the dryer. Finally, put the whole thing on the bottom grill of the oven and put it 3-4 hours at 300°F. It's easy to do and will save you from future problem with platic window. Wait the dryer to cool down before putting back the plastic window and metal ring. Great Product. Love it.

Came super quick ,undamaged. A box in a box 📦. A bit bigger than expected ,,Bonus .it did need a charge once it arrived. I just popped it in oven on low for 2hrs until the beads turned blue. Please remember to remove the pop out disc and window before placing in oven ,as this will prevent the window from melting .would recommend 5 *

Unit is a just light metal cage, but was boxed in protective factory packaging, inside a shipping box. Can was dinted on the top edge creasing the edge over and warping the entire top of the unit.packaging in marked?? Not worth my time and effort to return it.
