I bought the sea tones gouache paint as I am doing an underwater turtle painting for a client, this is my first time using gouache paints and I am really impressed with the quality and ease of use with this paint. A little blob on the pallet and canvass goes a long way and if you find your paint on the pallet has dried out you can reactivate it with ease with water and continue using, the paint out of the tube is thick and creamy and doesn't clump up into an unusable mess when reactivated with water, I use the reactivated paint as a thin overlayer when this happens to add detail. The paint looks great on canvass and paper with vibrant colours drying quickly with a slightly matt look. I've really enjoyed painting with this set; they layer and blend really effectively and even for a small 1ml tube they go a long way. I wish they came with more colour options, but you can create some beautiful paintings with the available colours there. I will be trying the other options available from Arteza brand when the time comes. Compared to a cheap brand of gouache paint I got out of The Works for comparison; these are definitely worth the price in quality and effectiveness. I would definitely recommend Arteza to anyone that loves painting.

These are easy to use and don't come oozing out as soon as opened. They are a good sellecyion of earth tones. Good value. Good make, well know. Good depth of colour. What more can I say.

My daughter uses a lot of Arteza products, hence why we ordered this set. The paints seem good quality and are perfect for her needs. My reason to drop 2 stars...the misleading title. These are not 144ml tubes, as it suggests, but 144ml in total (12 x 12ml). The seller really should correct this as it's misleading. I could have ordered some other branded ones for £6 less that had 18 in the set, but it's not worth the agro of returning as she needed them now.

First of all, there is hardly an Arteza acrylic or watercolor paint set out there that I don't own... TWICE! LOL, so that might tell you how highly i believe this brand's quality remains. This set in particular is wonderful because it includes great skin, or nude blending tones that some sets out there may not have. Yes, the tubes are a bit on the smaller side, (12mL) and no, this is not your glossy based paint. But if you like the matte finish you will love it, and if you paint lightly, and by carefully dipping your brush to the base of the tube as you brush, as needed to aquire your paint, instead of squeezing it out onto a pallete, you will save soooo much more paint. Just be easy because it tends to squeeze itself out sometimes on its own, lol! The colors blend so great together for scenery, skin, clothes, and anything you can think of. The set works with other Arteza sets, of course, and I also use it with my paints from PBN kits. Safe to say, it will blend with other paint brands too ;) It layers richly, drys fast, & the pallet includes some unique shade variations. Thank you Amazon, Thank you Arteza. Das waren meine ersten Gouache Farben und es fiel mir auf anhieb sehr leicht damit zu malen. Die Farben sind sehr intensiv, lassen sich aber auch gut verdünnen, wenn man sie transparent braucht. Ich werde mir wieder welche kaufen.

Ich schreibe diese Bewertung nachdem ich schon viele Monate mit diesen Farben arbeite. Sie sind in Pigmentreichtum und Lichtechtheit unschlagbar. Das obige Bild ist auf Leinwand gemalt und hängt seit vielen Monaten 'ungeschützt' im Licht eines Südfensters. Klare Kaufempfehlung

Great gouache paint for the price. Paint goes on smoothly with a velvet matte finish. Can be used straight or watered down like watercolor paint. This enables you to get a wide range of finishes and effects. I have all the individual color sets as well as the large set of 60. All colors are nice and the tubes are good size. Recently purchased some empty paint tins that come with 20 full pans each with magnets to store the gouache. Will be easier to access and use. Good paint for the price point and it will last for quite awhile unless you are doing large canvas works. I use it for art journaling and love the quality and ease of use.
