It's definitely cedar. They smell exactly like my shoe trees and shine box & even has the same shade. The hangers came packaged really well. I was actually surprised at how much attention to detail was given to the packaging. I expected them to arrive in a flimsy envelope or a box with loose bubble wrap in it. I ordered 2 sets, and it arrived in two separate boxes inside one big box. The separate boxes themselves had packaging material arranged in such a way that the hangers don't rattle around. They arrived solid in place! Very nice. The hangers themselves are very good quality. The wooden surface is smooth without any sharp edges or rough patches. One hanger appears to have a crack, but it only looks to be superficial from the grain. The bottom racks are nicely wrapped with black felt and feel very stable. The metal hanger portion feels very solid and not flimsy at all. The shoulder sections are just about the right width for jackets and more substantial clothing. I wouldn't recommend these for simple shirts though. Overall really nice and much better than the completely felted hangers (pain to get anything off those).

I had a moth scare recently. After deploying parasitic wasps to get rid of the moths as an added layer I bought these for my Super 150s worsted wool suits. They not only look great, smell great, feel smooth but support my high end jacket shoulders very well and seem to be in no distress even with my Abraham Moon & Sons heavy tweed jacket. To me that makes them very durable holding up a 54L tweed jacket, with moleskin waistcoat and corderoys trousers. Very solid.

Gave this as a gift to a friend who inherited delicate vintage clothes. She loves them. Cedar smell, soft and smooth so no snagging. Great value for the cost.

These are very nice hangers - well made, nicely finished/smooth, and very sturdy. However they are also very large - too large in fact for my 38R suits and I had to return them. They are very wide and also very thick. So if your suits are on the larger size I definitely recommend these!

These are nice cedar hanger. They are sturdy, and I particularly like the wide ends that keep the shoulders of your coats and jackets in proper shape.
