Sun Bum Curls and Waves Styling Cream

I am obsessed with Sun Bum’s Curls & Waves Cream! It gives my hair the perfect soft, beachy texture without that crunchy, stiff feeling a lot of other products leave behind. It’s lightweight, smells amazing (like summer in a bottle!), and really brings out the natural wave in my hair.I love that it’s infused with nourishing ingredients like coconut oil and seaweed — it doesn’t just style, it conditions too. My curls look defined, frizz-free, and feel super soft and touchable all day long. Plus, it’s safe for color-treated hair and has UV protection, which is a huge bonus during sunny months.Whether I air-dry or diffuse, this cream gives me effortless waves with minimal effort. If you’re looking for a clean, hydrating curl cream that enhances natural texture without weighing hair down, this is a must-have!

If you have not tried this, you MUST. It has been a staple for my hair care routine for at least two years. Not crunchy necessarily but you do have to scrunch when it dries to get the product to separate curls. I have fine, thin hair that is very wavy, but not kinky curls. Like I said, you do have to scrunch it a little to get your hair to separate, and it allows my hair to fluff up for volume. Great hold. I can actually go two to three days without wash. I just scrunch water through my hair in the morning and it springs back to life. I love the scent. Not greasy. Highly, highly, highly recommend.

My hair is wavy and honestly I don’t even know what I’m doing taking care of it. I do know that for simple days I use Maui curl cream which is awesome, and for full styling days, I use this product which is so lightweight. Even though I have a lot of hair it’s fine. This smells yummy like all of their products, very soft, and helped keep my waves in line with no frizz. It didn’t dry out my hair which is a major plus. It’s a silky texture; I also use more than it says to. I use more like a quarter size for each side. Honestly great for touch ups too so it holds up well for my hair type. A bonus, if it does protect against the sun that’s amazing because my kiddos have sports five times a week, one of them being tennis which is outside for several hours.

It's really. Smells well, hair are soft. Only reason for 4 star, it's kind of weighting down my hair. But it curls well

I love this for a light, textured, conditioned wave look for my thin wavy hair. Perfect to add a little volume and curl to the end while conditioning! Generally speaking I use Sun Bum hair products heavily in the summer when my hair is ultra dry.

Long review but worth the read if you want to know how to get the best results from this, feel confident in your purchase, and hear it from a person who’s used it for a couple weeks and has now signed up for monthly subscriptions. This is my favorite product from the Sun Bum line for curly hair. I recently got a beach wave perm and was looking at many different products & brands. I stumbled upon the Sun Bum line and bought everything they had for curly/wavy hair to try in my quest to find a good product to replace the Aussie line I had always used. I’ve used this for 2 weeks now, I use this fresh out of the shower. I use a large tooth comb to detangle, then while my hair is still very wet, I flip my head down and while my hair is hanging I apply this & work it throughly threw my hair. I then use a hair towel to scrunch my hair up in sections, that removes any excess water and adds life and hold to my curls. I then do my makeup and finish my morning routine as my hair is air drying, when it’s just a little damp I then use the Sun Bum curling whipped mousse. I add a little towards my scalp working it in with my fingers, then put a quarter size amount of the mousse in my hand & apply it from the bottom of my hair scrunching it with my fist in an up direction then letting the curls fall naturally. I love these 2 products when used together. Long lasting, beautiful natural looking not crunchy feeling curls that last all day, with no frizz even on humid or windy days. If you’re on the fence, but it and try it. I was hesitant but after 2 weeks of using it I can honestly say it’s worth every penny. I get so many compliments on how soft my hair is and how beautiful the curls are. Also on the smell!! It smells great!!

It's fine. I bought it out of curiosity. It's more of a gel than a cream. It has a lightweight hold, doesn't feel too strong (may be good or bad depending what you want).

My hair has changed to wavy over the last year-ish so I switched to the Curly Girl Method. I've been trying all kinds of products trying to find the right one for my wavy hair and I really like this one. If you've ever used their sunscreens it smells like the same coconut and slightly banana. The smell is pleasant but not so strong that it lingers and is overpowering. It has left my waves soft and hydrated. Using this along with their waves shampoo, 3-in-1 leave-in conditioner and wave style cream has done wonders for my waves. I wash every 2-3 days, refeshing in between with a bit of water and more 3-in-1 if my hair feels on the dry side. I would recommend it.
