Major upgrade over stock router guide
I bought this to rout a long, straight channel. The router guide that came with my router was flimsy and couldn't be locked in place. This attaches to the router and is strong. It also has many other features useful for woodworkers. I own several Milescraft products and have yet to be disappointed. Also, their customer service is excellent.

Works ok but has cracks in the plastic
I found it useful as a beginner with a new router. However there are cracks in the plastic, probably from when the brass nuts were inserted at the factory. Too late to exchange it.

Works with the Ryobi fixed base router
A few people out there bemoan the fact that Ryobi doesn't make and edge and mortise guide anymore for their routers. Well, this one works fine. It's a little tricky to set up but once it's set up, it does what it's supposed to do.

Had to drill two holes in my old Elu router base but everything worked out fine turns the router into a very stable controllable tool. I bought this because of the centralizing pegs for tenon recessing. Have yet to use the tool but I expect no negative results. Feels very stable in the hand.

This jig is useless if you own a Makita Router! It doesn’t fit any of the current Makita models! No where in the description it mentions this 🤯
