Genie 20380S Sequencer Control Board 6 Terminal

The board itself appears to work as advertised (just installed it an hour ago). This was the second time I installed the board. The first time had the following issues:Light stayed onManual switch would not work (not lit)While the door was open it appeared to continue pushing the door open.Nothing in the instruction about any additional configuration. Remembered reading something about a switch but thought it said it had to be pushed in to work as a safety feature. My setup would have done that. After removing the board read quite a few reviews saying the opposite. Removed the cap from the 'blue' switch and reinstalled it. It now appears to work. The light still came when first powered on but went off after a period of time. My old circuit board didn't do that. Have to agree with the review by Mike S. in 2015 that the seller should provide instructions about the switch modification. In the 3 years since 2015 the instructions should have been updated.

Diagnosis: Old board was not reliable. Sometimes pressed remote 5-10 times to make door work. Note: the light bulb usually came on with the first push of the remote; but the door would not respond. Decided to replace this board.Took about 30 minutes to pull old board and install new. New board has six screw terminals, my old had three. Punched out the removable plastic covers on the housing to make room for the six screw heads.After install checked the door movement range; it did not need to be recalibrated to the new board. No adjustments needed.Had to press "Learn" button for teaching the new board each of my remotes. Procedure is: click Learn button, then go to car and press the remote button for about three seconds. Then try remote at least three times to see if the pairing was successful. If not, press learn button again, then remote 3x. I added six remotes to the one door. Some took on first try some took three tries. All worked fine.

Ordered this board to repair a lightning surge damaged board on our old Python2 OCG800ML opener. Had to make same tweaks as others have noted in comments - removed black cap from blue switch and cut out the opening on our old casing for the blue switch to allow it to disengage (that switch disables the door switch). Works great and saved the cost of a new opener as repair guys told us were needed!

The part itself is perfect. The included instructions cover absolutely nothing useful. The necessary info that you are unlikely to figure out on your own is completely omitted. There is a small push button switch on the replacement circuit board. There is a cap over the stem of this switch that presses up against the plastic housing when the board is installed. In some applications you must remove this cap or the console switch and limit switches are disabled. Also the plastic shell covering the opener must be completely installed or the opener will not operate, a safety feature. I found this info after several calls to Genie tech support. A big waste of time !

This was a great blessing. Overhead door wanted over 2 times the price we paid for this one. We were able to match up the board number with the one online and it worked great. Re-programming was required for the remote to work and for the Homelink in the car, but since then it has worked like new.

Although it is not listed, this works as a drop-in on the H2000C with ONE minor modification. There is an open/close button on the side of this control board that doesn't have a corresponding hole on the H2000C (although there is a plastic bump where the hole should be.)At first, I didn't notice this and when I installed the board. The normal garage door button didn't light up, and it didn't trigger the door, although I did find that I could still marry the remotes to the board. It turned out that the extra button that I had overlooked was pressed up against the plastic case and was holding the garage door switch in a 'closed' state.After noticing this, I drilled a hole in the plastic housing to allow the extra switch to protrude freely, and from that point on the board worked perfectly.
