AN ABSOLUTE A MUST-HAVE IN EVERY PROFESSIONAL OR DIY HOME!
I've been quite a Makite-snob for the majority of my life. I know Bosch products have a great reputation for quality and dependability...after watching several YouTube videos on these drills I decided to give it a try. I actually bought two sets of these, one for a gift and the second for us. After I charged them we put them to the test. We drove multiple 3" screws into various woods to see if the impact driver could handle basic tasks...it did with ease. We then continued increasing the length and diameter of the screws just to find it's limits. In the end, we were screwing 10", 1/2" lag bolts into pressure treated posts and the impact driver performed flawlessly to my surprise! We were initially using our 18v Makita impact driver assuming the 12v Bosch would not even come close until the Makita battery died. Rather than wait for our Makita to charge, we decided to give the Bosch a try...to our surprise, the Bosch actually was able to drive the 10" bolt 80% of the way into the pressure treated post! We built a pergola over the past week and we used a combination of both the Makita and the Bosch drills...the Bosch performed fantastically! These drills are an absolute MUST for every homeowner and even professional contractors. Let's be honest, 98% of the jobs we do around a house are not focused around driving 10", 1/2" lag bolts into pressure-treated wood; most jobs are hanging pictures, doors, windows, etc. These drills are lightweight, perfectly balanced, fit great in both my hand as well as my wife's hands and are less cumbersome to carry than my Makita. We find ourselves reaching for the Bosch over the Makita when it comes to general DIY projects around the house just for the size, weight and portability, and overall power of them. I'm still hooked on my Makita but Bosch has absolutely found a permanent place in our workshop and we will now continue buying additional Bosch and Makita products as needed.

Lightweight, powerful, good price.
Update: Just adding another testament - I recently completed a rebuild of my porch steps and used this set quite a bit for pre-drilling and then driving in deck screws. The battery life and power are pretty amazing on both tools, with the impact driver handling nearly 150 3-inch screws into pressure treated lumber on a single charge. ***initial review*** I've had this set for a few months now and can't find anything to complain about (rare for me). I was originally looking for a smaller drill to replace an old, massive Porter Cable cordless drill. Saw this set on sale with a free set of driver bits and thought, what the heck, I'll probably never use the impact driver but why not? Turns out I was wrong - I use the impact driver all. the. time. Just installed an over the range microwave, a project that involved drilling pilot holes as well as driving in large wood screws and bolts. This set made that a breeze, with the tools' compact size being a significant advantage. Long story short, this is a good set for the average DIYer. The tools are relatively lightweight yet still pack some power. The lights are a nice touch, the ergonomics are good, and the batteries hold their charge a long time. My only regret is that I didn't buy something like this earlier. I fought with that old Porter Cable for far too long.

Best drills on the flight line.
I use these as an aircraft mechanic and among my coworkers with many different drills these definitely stand out. Screws on airplanes are never really tight but they often have stripped heads. That is where the impacting bit driver is perfect. The hammering action starts with very little resistance from the screw which is not true of higher voltage impacts. The hammering action almost pounds your phillips bit deeper into the screw and after about a second of gentle but firm hammering the screw is free. I will only use the impact to remove stubborn almost stripped screws as when installing it has no adjustment and will over torque them to quickly. The RPM on the impact is just ridiculously fast but still easy to control. Its also great to use it for nuts and bolts on projects not airplane related with a 1/4 inch drive socket to bit adapter to just snap on sockets. I read reviews saying they received drills with a wobbly chuck. Mine is straight. the drill has good speed for drilling sheet metal in second gear and good torque in first gear. The adjustable clutch works like it should. I have it on 5 most the time and it places the screws with equal torque. These drills came with the higher MAH batteries. (2.0 amp hour) and the slow charger which takes one hour to fully charge a dead battery. The quick one takes 30min so not a huge difference. The only negative I have on the drill is its locking chuck that locks when you are off the trigger seems to turn about an eighth of a turn before actually locking this can sometimes be annoying as I often break the torque by twisting the whole drill before pressing the trigger. I am learning you can press the trigger to take up this slack then twist the drill. Its fine just takes some time getting used to. What makes these great is the size I get to use my drills way more often and get jobs done faster than my coworkers because their drills just wont fit in the space or inside the panel. I charge the batteries about every two weeks because I only use them for delicate light duty aircraft screws they seem to last forever. If the drill battery dies in a job I switch it with the one from the impact which gets used less then charge both batteries a few days after that. I really want to get another drill only for use around the house. It comes close to replacing the common hand held screwdriver because their size, grace and ease of use.

Best gun in my toolbox
I am an apprentice automotive technician. I primarily use Milwaukee tools for other applications This is by far the most useful gun (if not best tool overall) in my toolbox. I use it for everything. I don't know the specs, but it's extremely useful for low torque applications (like interior work) and low-mid torque applications without ripping threads (like reinstalling brake rotor screws, removing pan bolts from transmissions and engines, removing plenums, undoing hose clamps, opening and closing air filter boxes without damaging the air box etc etc.....) I don't use the drill as much as I do the driver. I mainly use the drill for tire work and recapping threads, but it has proved very solid as well. Both of these tools and batteries are very compact, especially when compared with other big name tools. I bought the brushed motor version, but it has held up extremely well. I've been using it almost every day since is bought it 6 months ago. A single charge on a battery usually lasts 9-12 days with moderate use, and then when i do charge it, it is only on the charger for 45 before being ready for another 9-12 days. The value of these guns is unparalleled, especially with 2 batteries and a charger provided.

Typical Bosch...
The drill is heaftier than I expected. It easily drills 1/4 in holes in 1/4 in thick steel. The chuck on mine is true with no wobble. Nice size and feel in the hand. Low speed control with the trigger is outstanding. The impact driver is new to me. I have an old nicad Makita 12 volt 1/2 inch impact wrench that I compare it to. The Makita has about 60 ft-lbs of torque, so very comparable. For nuts and bolts, I like the old Makita better simply because it holds the sockets more securely than the hex/socket adapters. For driving and removing screws however, the bosch is my new go to tool. I like the way the impacts holds a philips bit in the screw head. I do not understand why the hex bit has so much axial slop, but it doesn't seem to affect function. I like the torque and again the lite speed control is outstanding. The case is a complete POS, hence only 4 stars.

Great Value = good batteries + multitude of uses + equipment built tough
This combo is an amazing value. I use it all the time, batteries stay charged for a long time. I've built a 9ft cedar fence, gate, 30 ft of planters and knee walls, framed, hung pipes with straps and used it in all sorts of situation. When working with tools for extended period of time, esp. overhead, you want a light tool (anyone who swung 24" iron pipe wrenches for a few hours knows how nice it is to use aluminum ones). This tool is compact, will fit in tight spaces that square-bottomed battery drills will not, is well built (I dropped it a few times), and keeps chucking along just fine. Impact driver is great. Drill is good - wish it rotated a bit faster, but for light drilling in wood, plastic, plaster and drywall - it's fine. Only nice thing would have been a built in belt hook of some sort, like the one's Milwaukee tools come with. It would make life easier when working on a ladder or using one hand to hold something in place while having to put the drill down. This is however, not a big deal. You can get a drill holster for a few bucks (maybe $9 here on amazon), and you are in business. Just wear some pants with a belt. Also, do get one of those extension chucks - it will really let you get into tight corners.

Fantastic value!
I picked these up because I was being transitioned back into a field tech position at work and I needed a light weight driver. Previously my company had provided techs with 12v DeWalt drill drivers but after a change of management, I didn't have that option available to me. I also wanted something compact because I'm often working on small equipment or in cramped spaces and would have trouble getting a full sized driver where I needed it to go. I tried power screwdrivers but they lacked the torque and speed I needed. A friend of mine who is a professional A/V installer carries the previous generation of the Bosch drill driver and I got a little hands-on time with it. I was very impressed with how light it was and yet how much power it packed. I went on Amazon and saw that Bosch had bumped the power specs and made other improvements so I knew I had to have one. Then I saw the 2 pack with the impact driver. Sold! I've had the pair of them on the job for about a week now and I'm stoked on my purchase. I'm impressed with the life on the tiny lithium batteries. I got a week of moderate use out of the both of them on a single charge. I like the fact that they have battery indicators on them. That will prevent me from potentially going out in the field with a sagging battery. The 30 minute charger will ensure that I have a full charge with minimal notice. Bosch makes two versions of the drill driver. I opted for this one because it's got the traditional chuck so I wouldn't have to get specialized drill bits, etc. The chuck is good. I've had no issues with slippage so far. The torque settings are good. 20 almost seems overkill. It's got good torque by itself and has proven to be a solid high-speed drill, too. I was a little skeptical about the power of the impact driver, having gotten used to having an 18v one at home but I discovered in testing that it's got more than enough juice to rip the head off of some 7/16" bolts. I've torqued numerous rusty bolts free of their moorings with ease. There's a little bit of play in the clip-chuck but not a big beal IMO. My only real wish is that they had bit holders on them. It's nice to have someplace to clip that phillips-head when you switch to a drill bit or socket adapter. That's not enough to make me take off a star, though.

Compact and light
I had the 12-year-old bosch 18V drill and hammer drill -- plus the jigsaw. Very solid good equipment -- and very heavy. Batteries finally truly gave out but it doesn't owe me anything -- and they look like they went through a war anyway. This combo set is fabulous. The impact driver is amazing -- plenty of power and both tools are so light you don't even notice the battery. I'm super impressed and for a normal homeowner this kit is a great addition to the toolbox. The LED is really nice to have, and the drill has a great ratchet mechanism. I'm really pleased with this kit. I'll add the 12V jigsaw soon too.

EXCELENTE HERRAMIENTA
Me encataron. Gracias.

Great tool kit
Awesome set for easy home use. Have this same kit in the states so ordered it for our home in Scotland. Only issue I had was the plug converter didn’t work so had to buy a UK Bosch charger.
