Win win!! Its well made and superior to more costly alternatives.
Cool little gadget, seems to be well made. CountyComm came out with a paracord dispenser years ago they still sell. Its a climbing type carabiner with a Delrin spool that slots onto the biner. This is definitely better and costs half as much. One suggestion I might humbly suggest to the maker would be to add a slot or some way to secure a standard Bic lighter to the dispenser. Maybe a just a mini Bic. I've been using 550 cord for decades and I've rarely seen it used without melting the ends to prevent fraying. A rubberband or shock cord would work on this one but not ideally. Obviously if your using the inner strands you wouldnt need to melt it but thats a far less used option imho. All in all its a great little tool when you might need some cord on the go. The cord itself seems to actually be 550cord instead of the cheaper weaker stuff you can find in walmart. I havent tried opening it yet to see how reloading will work. Its definitely not gonna come apart unintentionally. Mine will likely stay in the car but I also ordered the mini version for my man purse....uh... i meant my backpack. Great now I've lost my excuse for not making everyone zipper pulls and bracelets....Still its great to have some cordage on you when you actually need it.

Solid case, great function. .
These are cats meow, live it, I have two one with 550 cord and one with smaller cord, they keep things tidy. A bushcraft must have.

Wider Than Expected
The preloaded reel is a bonus here, and the carrier is very convenient, especially with the built in cutter. It is a little wider across than I was anticipating. I expected something the size of a 25’ measuring tape, but this is about1.5x to 2x the thickness. The plastic is decent but I fear it may be too rigid to survival a fall without cracking. Overall, this is handy. It just has distinct drawbacks.

Does what it says.
Handy to have with a built in cutter. Little bulky on the belt but will do what it's designed to do.

Great rope holder
It works exactly as expected the only thing is opening it to replenish the rope is hard but I wasn't expecting it to come with rope which is a great upside

50-feet of easy-access paracord with easy cut-to-length? Yes please!
Ask any Army veteran (at least), most people who are into one or more aspects of survival preparation, outdoors, Scouting, or any one of a huge variety of reasons, and there's at least 550 reasons to have easy access to some of this cordage. Unfortunately, it can be a monster to manage, but this spool makes it incredibly easy. On top of that, this unit has a cutting (scalpel) blade that can be easily used one-handed while dispensing the cord, a short ruler section (about 2 inches or so), a removable belt clip, and a top-rail attachment point, if clipping it to a belt isn't your thing.

Want to love it but...
Received it and thought it was fairly nice and put it with my gear. Now the bad. When I finally needed it the paracord would not come out. Simple fix, right? Nope, the case has several small snap points that look like they could easily break it you pry to hard to open it. Once I carefully got it apart the cord was slightly tangled which was a easy fix but then when attempting to snap the case back together the cutting blade feel out. I finally did get it working but I had 20-25 minutes of time invested to get an 18 inch piece of paracord ready to use. When I went to put the case away I was disappointed to find that the grove to hold the loose end of now deployable cord really isn't deep enough to firmly hold it in place. Bottom line, great idea but the execution is weak. The case should be easily opened to replace line and address tangles.

Super overproced for what it is, which is a poorly thought-out product. Appears to be constructed as a single-use item, where opening the case is not intended. Watch the official product video, and notice how they don't actually show you the process of opening it up. You also cannot retract the cord if too much comes out. I got duped on this one, don't be like me! Avoid.

I use this for my treks and find it super. No more rummaging through the bag to find the tangled ball of annoyance and spend 2/3rds of the trip untangling paracord. Highly recommended.
