Lifesaver! Worth every penny.
As promised it was a perfect fit for my 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS 2.4l Echotech. It does save you on money rather than purchasing it at a parts store so I know the price is reasonable. This will fix the codes pulling for Over Advanced Timing or any codes for the valves. I do recommend buying both and yes, they will fit the top connectors it's really easy to install. It does take a 8mm socket not a 10mm as many have said in other reviews so going into changing the parts was easy. They are good quality parts. I also recommend getting both Exhaust and Intake as well as some Lithium Grease for them. Install took ten minutes. If anything goes wrong again or the parts go out after normal wear and tear I'll be buying these again.

Working Great
My daughter's Chevy Equinox (wife's old car) was dying on her occasionally when driving to school. It would only do it occasionally and would drive fine when I tested it. This issue got worse and the check engine light finally came on and I was able to get the codes which pointed at the solenoids. As recommended, I first changed the oil despite it only being a month old but that did not fix the issue. I purchased this brand due to the OEM being out of stock. I was a little apprehensive due to some negative reviews but it has been working fine for almost 2 years now. The only issues I had were breaking the PCV hose, partially due to cold weather, and the head off the screw trying to get the original solenoid out. Thankfully I was able to get the screw core out without having to drill it out. I had no issue with the screw that came with it like some have reported. Make sure to not over tighten them. I would recommend spraying the screw heads with a little Liquid Wrench before attempting to remove the original solenoids. These are down in a depression which collects gunk and can seize the screws in making them difficult to remove. Also do yourself a favor and order a spare PCV hose in case yours breaks. Some are apparently rubber and flexible where ours was rigid plastic and broke easily.

Fixed my check engine light - Easy fix
Replaced “intake” and “exhaust” solenoids at the same time since I had it uncovered. Fixed my check engine light. Replaced both in about 15 minutes. See YouTube for install instructions. Have always had good luck with Dorman parts.

My mother-in-law's SES (Service Engine Soon) light was illuminated on her 2010 Equinox 2.4L, so she brought it to me to fix it. I hooked up my OBD2 scan tool and it fired back a P0010 code. So I purchased this to correct the issue. Installing this on a 2.4L is easy, you just have to take off the plastic cover and air filter housing, and these will be found underneath (there is one for intake, and one for exhaust, both of which are beside eachother. This one (intake) is the one towards the front of the engine). Once installed, I reset the trouble codes, had her drive for a while so the computer would pick up all sensors, rescanned and voila.. no more error code.

This is an excellent replacement for the OEM part. Also replaced the 917-216, no complaints so far. Frequent oil changes helps to keep them clean and working properly.

bought this for 43$ , but after that they seemed to rise the price!!. Well I had a code P0010 and sometimes P0011 on my chevy cobalt 2009. also would get a rough idle, and the shifting on 1 and second gear wasn't smooth. I changed this and now after 2 weeks no code, everything seems to go right! I am happy with it at the price I paid for.
