Useful telescope, with its troubles. Value for Money.
Optics Decent quality optics. The light gathering capacity is average due to 70mm aperture which is in line with the price. With 20mm eyepiece (35x magnification), image is good and sharp. With 4mm eyepiece(175x magnification), image is softer and not bright. Finderscope is good enough with crosshairs. The Barlow Lens I received is pretty much useless. Chromatic Aberration is present but it's very much expected in a refractor in this range. Jupiter's band and moon can be seen. Saturn's rings can be seen. Moon's craters are vividly visible, as evident int he pictures attached. Tripod The tripod itself is good enough for the weight of telescope. The mount is shaky and had lot of free play. The altitude fine adjustment screw mechanism has free play too. But not a deal breaker at this price and casual usage. I put a dry heavy towel over the centre of telescope to dampen out the vibrations. Overall it's a decent telescope for the price. Definitely lets you see so much farther than you could see with a similarly priced binocular. The Light gathering capability ie not great but that's not a problem in daytime terrestrial viewing. If you can worlk around it's shortcomings like poor mount, etc, it's a useful optical instrument.

BEST BEGINNER TELESCOPE
Very Good telescope, it is portable, easy to use and assemble, and the clarity is very nice in 20mm eye piece but, not good when used more zoom (4mm eye piece). So, because of clarity issue I will give it 4/5

Very good telescope but limited things to see
Many people say that barlow is useless but it is very useful you know after 2 days of use.... very good telescope but mount is shaky very low weight... You can see Jupiter clearly through 4mm eye piece but if you think that I will see Jupiter through 4 mm + 3x barlow so it is very hard to set and focus but if you do it professionally so you can see big.. Quality is excellent 👍🏻 Just go for it blindly I don't upload the Jupiter and noon view because I have no phone adaptor

60az Review
Very bad product description, Don't buy this one, instead go for celestron binos, they are more powerful than this, , it's not up to the match, low quality lenses, barlow lens has only name, it's made of cheap plastic and 4mm and 20 mm lenses are not good quality. Light gathering ability is way leß when comparing to the other scopes. Pros: good looks Able to see moon and creaters Light weight Good for children till 14 years Cons: very shaky tripod Only for child's Low quality eye piece Barlow lens are very cheap quality Slight wind then u are out of focus Viewfinder is cheap and can't find anything with it. Finally the packaging and delivery we're awesome, very good seller and prompt response, However I wouldn't recommend to people who like to take this as their serious hobbies. Happy skygazing

The powerseeker
i am able to see the two bright gas giants with it the Jupiter ( and it's moons as bright dots) and Saturn( prominent with it's rings) , while the outdoors are usually light or just in general polluted, so no milky way andromeda or deep space objects yet..and for some reasons i haven't had the moon at night . It's a cheap build though , The one i got has it's altitude adjust knobs holding screw not working (it doesn't lock ), it's objectives are fine, while the Barlow is basically useless for anything else than terrestrial observations , it's 4 mm eyepiece is shooting outside it's usable magnification range ( 60x2 =120x) ,the image it makes is good enough but i think you should rather go with a 6 mm , the az stand's legs are (Hollow cubical ) aluminium with height adjustments and itself is some painted iron well positioned , it does have slight issues with locking but you get used to it.. i doubt the stand's durability as general wear and tear of mechanical gear and screw assembly with a possiblity of rust, that and it being a model from the 2010's ( allthough not manufactured at that point )or earlier ( refractors goes back to 1600s ).. It's viewfinder need to adjusted or calibrated to a point light source first favourably during the day with the 4 mm objective and you are good to go, it didn't appear that useless to me unless you are taking the scope with you for your honeymoon or keep on disassembling the tube..i would also mention the entire assembly process is fairly easy. This was my first ever telescope so late in life after eyeing it for about 7-8 years ( couldn't believe i would use it so less),because of that and the fact the alternatives are Astro binoculars while having a telescope gives you ability to observe space in real time of the planet with stability and allthough /don'tbuythepowerseeker but it's the only telescope at it's price..i just couldn't return it .. or even replace because of the huge package ..and for all it's worth i don't want to for the experience it provides.

A review based on experience.
A proper review of the Celestron Powerseeker 50AZ. Many user have complained that the telescope is not good and they cannot see anything. This does not hold true. The telescope is good for viewing anything upto an apparent magnitude of 4. The finderscope is a bit difficult to align for beginners and should be done in day light for best results. The tripod is shaky so give it time to stabilize after adjusting the focus to see the object without disturbance. The barlow lens is indeed useful, people who complain that barlow wont focus is because they use it with the diagonal. The barlow is meant to be inserted directly into the optical tube and it focusses just fine. Learn to use the eyepieces well by considering magnification. For eg : you wouldnt be wanting to use the 4mm with a barlow of 3x as it would be a magnifaction of 400x which is well beyond the highest useful magnification. Understand the space well if you wish to see deep objects. Overall, this a good telescope with nice optical quality. The tripod could have been more better but given the price tag, it can be bearable. Also cool down the scope to outside temperature for atleast 30 mins before viewing sessions. This will reduce the aberrations to neglible. Quite a good product for beginners.

Very cool piece of kit for a bargain price
This item was delivered next day with Amazon Prime, it came well packaged, after checking the contents i assembled it and set it up, which took about 15 minutes, it was so easy, almost ready to use straight from the box. Included is a really nice bit of planisphere software - showing the sky from your home location, and what stars and planets were viewable, on that day I took the telescope to the garden and immediately began watching, the moon, jupiter, fantastic. this is my first telescope, I would recommend it. Easy to set up, Easy to use

Beetje plastic fantastic maar wel leuk
Voelt een beetje plastic uit (is het ook), maar wel leuk om de maan te bekijken hierdoor. Andere planeten heb ik nog niet geprobeerd.
