Seems strong and very well-made. It is definitely sharp. It's lightweight, which is a plus for me as a 76-year-old with arthritis.

This axe is great! This is axe is really cool looking and very sturdy. It's not for cutting trees that are wider than an average persons arm but it can be done. Idk if the the wrap is real paracord but with and without the wrap made no difference for comfort (the wrap broke after 50 or so throws at a tree). I always bring this axe with me whenever I go in the woods, the pointy side makes as a great self-defence weapon and the sheath it comes with is great, takes some practice to quick draw though. It takes a hell of a beating as as well. But this axe is overall just freaking awesome!

You get what you pay for
They look really nice out of the box but other than for playing around throwing them I wouldn’t consider these for everyday use. The parachute cord that is wrapped around the handle unravels easily. If you have multiple of these and you throw them and they strike each other then your cord gets cut and falls off. I wrapped electrical tape over the cord by and it still unravels when two axes hit each other. On the second throw one of my three axes broke in half. The seller was quick to replace it so no problem there. They are still pretty fun to use for throwing.

I’m happy to own it!
Well made, heavy enough for some serious work. The paracord wrapping is strong yet supple. Absorbs a lot of the shock of repeated blows. Now, we know that at this price the steel is not A+, meaning it will have to be sharpened more frequently. But— that reasonable price!! I’ll be happy to do the extra sharpening.

Okay, nothing special.
It's a decent little axe, much smaller than I was expecting. It packs very little weight and heft making it difficult for anything other than small chores around the campsite where it's used. You'd be unwise to try to do much more than peel bark and prepare kindling with this axe. Decent for the price, came barely sharp and doesn't hold an edge too well.

Can't go wrong at this price
Very well packaged. Good fit & finish. Cord handle wrap is evenly and tightly wrapped. Came surprisingly sharp and ready for action, whatever that might be. Good size and weight. Smooth, black matte finish is flawless (until I chop something, of course). I'm almost disappointed, I never buy ANYTHING that I can't find something to bitch about. OK...if you had to do a lot of heavy chopping, the cord wrap would become uncomfortable, but I expected that and I planned to wrap over the cord with self adhesive camo tape anyhow. Overall I'm VERY pleased and I think most people who buy this tomahawk will be as well. Best 20 bucks I've spent in a long time. Oh, had to add, since sheaths are often a bone of contention. Fits OK, relatively sturdy nylon. Nothing to write home about, but it does its job. If for some reason you think you might need this for self defense....get it out now, cause it takes a while. This is definitely no quick release sheath. ;') Does have a nylon belt loop, unlike say, the CS Trench Hawk, which has a cool, cleverly designed, hard sheath but...DUH...no way to attach it to ....anything....which is not so clever.

Do not buy! Not safe for any type of use!
To start, the ad clearly says “the one piece 440 stainless steel construction.....” which is obviously false when you see the weld in the photo. The weld is conveniently covered by the cord wrap, until you use the axe and it breaks. Three of the four axes broke within minutes of use as a throwing axe, going into soft pine boards. I shudder to think what would happen if you were really trying to use these as an axe, cutting harder woods for a fire. The snapping weld, and head flying off, could definitely hurt someone. You can easily see the discoloration in the welds, where they were not solid, creating a weak point. Next, the metal is suspect. The grain structure is not that of any serious SS I have ever seen. Looks more like a cast of some sort. Next, the cord wrap is useless. These had a total ‘in hand time’ of less than ten minutes and the wrap was already loose enough to start falling off the handle. Finally, the use of USA in the name, for no other reason than to mislead buyers into thinking this is a quality item from the USA is disgusting at best. I normally don’t do reviews, good or bad, but the extremely poor quality, the false advertising, and the risk of injury to family or friend really irritated me. I will not purchase any M-tech product, ever again, and hope you won’t either. Save your money. In the interest of fairness, one thing in the ad is true......the axe is easily portable, especially after it breaks in half. At that point it fits nicely in a back pants pocket.

Saludos.

love it. good weight to it flys nice. perfect for a first tomahawk, but I recomend taking the paracord off and drilling a hole through the handle and make wood handles for it, after a while the paracord will come loose and in m y case snape. but it works great

Conprata per regalo un po’ per scherzo è stata un’ottima sorpresa. Solida, semplice ma leggera è molto bella e divertente da lanciare. Non saprei per tagliare o per il campeggio ma comunque la consiglio

This is a pretty decent little axe, but it is neither a throwing axe or for chopping wood, except maybe small branches, but you'd be better off buying a good solid camping or woodsman's axe for that purpose. My axe came razor sharp, and the covering for the head fits well enough and keeps you from injuring yourself. It takes a bit of an effort to slip the axe free though, so if you expect to be able to slip it out quick to deal with any pesky zombies, then forget it. Run and hide, and then take it out once you are in a safe place. I quite like the axe, and really I bought it to serve as a back-up personal defence weapon, which it would serve well as, but don't think you can toss it around and subject it to all sorts of abuse. It's not made for that, and anybody who knows weapons should know that. It's cheap for a reason, and if you think that you can chuck it around and expect it to stay in one piece, well, sorry, but you need your head examined. For throwing and for chopping, invest in a good solid axe from a reputable brand. As I said, this axe will make a good close quarters defence weapon (where permitted, of course), and it might or might not break when used that way, depending on the force applied, but any would be attacker would certainly be thrown off his game and think twice about molesting you, if he gets the spike end through a major body part. All in all, it's a decent little item, and I'm glad I have it, despite all the negative reviews. It will serve well as a good back-up defence tool, and who knows when it might come in handy, when all those walking dead show up at the door.
