Round 2 showed up.
I did the same thing "MG" (another reviewer) did and picked up a second pair before they go away. I bought these shoes locally. Tons of shoes felt strange or didn't look good. My favorite color is orange and I liked the look but had never even heard of Saucony. I put them on and instantly bought them, which is crazy because my feet are wacky. My feet are extra wide (monkey toes) and I have to have an 11.5 no matter what. I had the pair for a long time and they have held up really good and look great in many situations. They are decent running shoes. I am not sure if they are better than the 2 pairs of Mizunos I have/had (I think I like my Mizunos better for running on concrete). But the Mizunos are unattractive and wear out pretty quickly. The Saucony seem really good for all around use. So I ordered another pair on Amazon and was happy to see there was a "wide" option. They showed up and I wore them for a day and once again perfect. Within a day they are very natural feeling. Also the price is nice.I do have one warning about these shoes. They are "trail running shoes" and are kind of special. The tread is specialized. So in some situaitons you will actually feel it grip way better than your other shoes. But in other situations given their lower area of contact you will feel slipping. This is especially when I walk in from a heavy rain and have to walk through the front office of work on the polished floor. They slip pretty badly. When it snows here and gets icy they slip around in those situations worse than other shoes. For me it doesn't really matter.Side note: The orange/grey one looks great. You can swap the laces to black if you want and modify the shoe to be less "noisy" pretty easily. Also.

A significant improvement over previous generations.
So far so good!As some might notice from my previous reviews, I'm upgrading from a previous incarnation of the Excursions to this series and so far the upgrade has been good. Build quality of this model feels more like Saucony should and nothing has fallen off or peeled back (unlike the previous model) yet!I'm putting considerably more wear into these than I did the previous and feel that their stability and overall build quality far exceed that of the previous model so I find myself much more comfortable wearing these out and about. As I've come to expect from Saucony's low height trail running shoes, they are wide, comfortable, and supportive no matter what terrain I put them through and I find that they seem to absorb enough of the impact of daily use to reduce foot fatigue to much more manageable levels when putting in anything from 3-4 miles on a normal work day or 10 miles on the weekend.Very pleased so far, and if that changes, I'll update the review!

Great trail shoes - very comfortable, hold up well, fit just like the Guide series.
I was fitted at a running shop for a pair of shoes, and my "real" running shoes are a pair of Saucony Guide 6s. I've put almost 400 miles on those with "happy feet" and read a few reviews saying that these are a similar fit.As it turns out - they are! My feet have felt great in them from day one, and they've made a fine pair of wet weather/trail shoes. After 100 miles I've had no blisters or ankle bites, which is rare for a brand new pair of shoes out of the box.Another great product by Saucony, and you can't beat the price. Highly recommend these.

Pleasantly Surprised
When I started getting knee and ankle aches - I knew it was time to get a newer pair of running shoes. I'm no professional, but used to race amateur back when I had just gotten out of high school. It's been a few years since then, and I've wanted to try my hand at trail running rather than straight up sidewalk/track endurance running. I did about an hour of research here on Amazon, clawing my way through dozens of shoes I thought were in my price range and looked stylish, and these shoes stood out the most. These were on the cheaper side (since I'm an amateur, that's all I need for now) and came exactly as expected. The shoe fit perfect, I wear size 10.5 Mens US and have never had a shoe fit better. I put some nice gel inserts in when I got them and the combination feels amazing. I can feel the arch support and stability from the sole flare when running on any terrain. They're light, they breathe, they look good and they're great for amateur runners. On the cons side, they're a little flimsy around some seams. I'm afraid that if I catch a bad branch or take a good fall, they'll rip open. Besides that, it was a solid buy for the price - but I would go to something more expensive once I start being able to go longer distances.

Always liked Saucony shoes
It's no surprise I find these shoes very comfortable. I've been running in Saucony's for awhile, but this is my first set of trail shoes from them. The sole is a bit stiffer than my normal minimalist shoe, but they've been great for running in the winter in Chicago. My feet stay warm and relatively dry (though I did spray them with a water repellent). The sides have nice reflectors, but I do wish the heel had something reflective as well. I wear lights for night runs, but I feel the extra protection for the $0.50 wouldn't have been a bad investment on their part. All things considered, I love these shoes. Warm, comfortable, good fit and nice look. I can't speak as to how the sole stands up to a lot of runs as I've only just started using them, but all my other Saucony lasted the requisite 500 miles/6 months, so I am not anticipating any issues.

Great shoes!
Hey, I'm training for a "Tough Muddder" obstacle course & needed a pair of trail running shoes. I'm fairly new at this & didn't want to spend a lot of $. I did my research online & saw these shoes. Never owned the brand so went & tried them on @ a store. Liked 'em a lot better than all the others @ decided to try 'em. So not disappointed! Very comfortable, light weight yet tough (like Mudder! :) & would highly recommend them, no doubt.

Great value
I always buy Saucony shoes even though they are very hard to find in the shops, the sizes and width fit are consistent throughout the range. I run trails and this shoe is great value for the price, comfortable and ready straight out of the box.
