Great buy, Great Vice
Great bench vise for the money. Sure its made in China, but the same size and style vice at Lowes and Home Depot are as well, and they cost $80! Sturdy (its two heavy solid chunks of steel!) And well made. Its is no lesser quality than the one at Lowes or Home Depot. I used this with some polyurethane pads to do some work on my AR and it worked perfectly. Not really much else to say, its a bench vise and it works and gets the job done. Enough said.

Good quality and size for the money
Very happy with it. Seems solid and durable at first glance and use. Jaws open wide enough for my DIY projects. Notice on the picture the "JCL Vise Jaws - Nylon, Multipurpose 4" " sold separately.

Catches on left side
Very happy with finish on this vise until I went to clamp down on an item on right side of jaw. When loosening the jaws they stick then suddenly snap open. Only happened on the right side. See video. Amazon exchanged the vise and I changed my rating to a 5. Replacement vise works flawlessly. Really like the โUโ shaped casting over the screw as this seems to make the vise more solid, and less lateral movement. Plus it keeps the screw threads clean. This feature is not found in the cheaper vises. I looked at many vises and for the money, you canโt go wrong.

Satisfied!
Well made casting and machine work, Jaws are good and square. Lead screw and tightening handle a little undersized, But with no abuse should last for years. Overall for the price I'am quite happy!

No lt to heavy for the bench I bought, quality light duty vice! vice
Ok may sound weird but Iโve never owned a vice, had quite a few lol, so I was genuinely excited to finally buy one. That said, Iโm sure I spent way too much time researching vices, 8 hours. Some were too heavy 30+ lbs, some were just ugly like the casting was porous, or they tried to do too much. Then this gem can along; itโs a vice, and it has an anvil. A nice sized anvil. OK this is the vice Iโve waited my lifetime to own! Now I need to buy 3 5/16th 2 1/4โ Bolts, nuts, and washers. My life is complete.

Good value for the money.
Well finished. Sturdy and meets my needs well. A good small vise for home use but sturdy enough to take on a few larger tasks.

Great valve
So far so good. A good value for the price, I tested the bench vise a little last weekend, for light duty jobs, it will handle just about anything... for the average weekend jobs, it's pretty strong. I like the jaws, the size, the anvil, it works smoothly as expected. I have not tried to apply a really large amount of torque to it yet, not sure we can expect a low priced vise to handle too much. But for this old woodworker, it is great.
