No contamination in first order. Clean agar- no spots
These came in sealed bags- 2 sealed dishes, then 3 sealed dishes on one bag as others stated. My order was for 10. They have a little moisture but not dripping wet like some have reported. No contamination after leaving them in room temperature for three weeks. Used two already with perfect results. Time to use the rest up or risk degradation. As with all these agar filled dishes, I wouldn't refrigerate as that will condense liquid and make a mess. We always refrigerate, but in this case it's a moot point considering the shipping company has them in their truck for hwo knows how long on adverse conditions. My only disappointment is that these should be individually sealed, or at least sealed in pairs seeing it's a "lot of 10". Once opened in front of a laminar flow or clean still air box, using them is really your only option or one runs the risk of contamination. I'm about to order a second batch hoping for similar results. So far, I would recommend these under the conditions stated above.

saved our science project!
We originally ordered agar petri dishes from another company but *many* of those dishes arrived wet and already growing bacteria/mold. We needed another set of agar petri dishes quickly for a science project and these arrived on time with all dishes usable and intact! There was a note included with the product that sometimes dishes get damaged in transit, with a number to call if necessary to arrange for replacement but we didn't need to use it. The quality of these dishes was so much better than the others we ordered! Also appreciate that the company proactively included information for customer service just in case.

Absolute junk. And customer service wonโt even reply
For 30 dollars you would think these are great. Cheap, thin plastic. 5/10 were cracked upon delivery. Company will not respond. Within 48 hours there was contamination in the plates. Donโt waste your money here

Very low quality
These plates arrived with lots of liquid in them. Some of the plastic was cracked. About half of the plates looked to be contaminated with small white spots and the smell when I opened the box was horrid.. Do Not Buy ..

Excellent clean dishes
I did end up with one with cracked plastic. Had to toss. Other than that these are beautiful. Stored at room temp for 3 weeks and showed no sign of contamination. Then used a few and grew perfectly clean cultures. Still have some in the fridge that look healthy and look forward to using them. I wasnโt even gonna write this but saw so many people complaining that I had to set it straight. These are clean, sterile dishes. There is no contamination. Any issues you have are probably from unsterile technique. Hell, my house is a mold factory but I still produced healthy cultures. Bottom line, these are safe to buy & use.

Sealed plates contaminated
Stored in the refrigerator until ready to use. Seven out of ten plates were perfect. The only thing that grew in them was what I cultured. HOWEVER, a sealed pack of three plates began growing contaminates in all three after resting at room temp in my still air box still sealed in the packaging. My SAB is absolutely sterile and I sanitized the package before going in with 70%ISO. One oddity about this pack was the amount of excessive moisture after bringing to room temperature which I believe could have been the cause. Either way I am admittedly a bit disappointed and having a hard time understanding how at least two different molds are growing in a vacuum sealed package of sterile-poured agar plates. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I thought I should be honest and let you folks know my experience with this product.

No luck for this newbie
As a newbie to mushroom growing I did not have much luck with these. I put in one cc of liquid culture of Oyster mushroom in 5 of them and they just went moldy for me. I had done 20 homemade agar plates on my own. Used 10 of them, to see the difference. I had 5 of them with the same process with liquid culture and got the same type of mold, but my other 5 home made plates with liquid culture were good. So will chalk it up to my inexperience and a good learning experience. Will try them again later.
