I was running out of plug sockets and noticed a lot of my sockets were being taken up by USB adapters and I thought it was time to clean up and optimise the space under my desk. That’s when I decided to buy this expansive power outlet due to its 5 USB ports and 12 UK plug sockets (max load of 2500 Watts). My initial impressions when I got this was at how small it was, measuring a tiny 23cm in height! Whilst holding it I was impressed with its construction, it was made from strong hard ABS black plastic and felt solid and sturdy. The cable was nice and long, which I measured cable at 190cm. On the top it had a two illuminated on / off switches with one switch controlling power to the 6 plug sockets on the front including the USB ports, while the other switch controlled the 6 plug sockets on the back. There were 5 USB ports on front of the device, with all 5 of the USB ports supporting currents of 0 - 2.4 Amps (at 5 Volts max. 4.5 Amps). Unfortunately none of these USB ports are of the new QC3.0 charging standard. This power outlet from Pritek was so flexible and convenient with its long 1.9meter power cable and numerous USB ports. During operation it didn’t make any crackling or hissing sounds, it came with a good integrated cable and worked flawlessly. If there’s one con, it is that I would have liked to have seen a QC3.0 USB port, but that’s just me being overly critical. This is a fantastic power socket, it’s helped immensely tidy the rat’s nest of cables around my desk and so it gets top marks. Highly recommended. I’ve included various pictures. A decent price for 12 mains sockets in a useful "tower" configuration. I need lots of sockets for the TV, Surround Sound Box, Hi-Fi, DVD Recorder, Virgin Box etc and this works well for me. The tower design means that all the sockets can be used as none of the large plugs (with power supplies built into the plug) obstruct the use of any other socket on the device. I haven't as yet used the USB ports so have no comment to make, although they may well get used for Christmas lights later in the year. All in all, a well made unit the fits my needs. It would be even better if it were supplied with a choice of lead length as I would have preferred a shorter cable, but I can always cut it later if required.

After trying 2 other previous brands which I had to return, one of which had a serious error in the written instructions I decided to order this model/brand. I'm glad I got this one. On opening the box I could see it had a strong cable and most of all a protective cover on the prongs of the plug. It is a solid extension tower. I strongly recommend this product and supplier. You have to be so careful with electrical products these days. It might be a little more expensive than others, but what price do you put on safety.

This has been very useful in my study for all my IT equipment. It’s fairly large, so please bear that in mind. But it works perfectly. I’ve also added remote control power sockets to the tower so I can hide it away and forget about it. But using the remote for the sockets switch off the power when I want to. E.g monitor, laptop, lights etc. The tower doesn’t come with remote Control sockets I purchased these separately. One star less as a little bulky

This is great! not only do I have an extra 4 sockets, but I can plug in my electrical items which work of a transformer, WITHOUT losing a socket. It's sturdy, and shouldn't be easily tipped (unless you make it top - heavy that is). I like that the tower doesn't take up much space (I don't have that much space to start with). The only thing I'm not sure of, is whether the USB ports are for charging only, or if they can be used as normal USB ports. This is great value for the money, better than buying an extention cable.

I have a room in my house with all my music gear and computer plugged in. I have been using two of these to accomodate all the kit and can even power some of my synths and gooseneck led lamps from the USB sockets. I can flick the top power switch and the whole studio springs to life. THese handle an insane amount of plugs for the footprint size. They are sturdy and survived moving house constantly plugging stuff in and out. They have weight and can handle having brick PSU mounted on all sides. The cables all trail nicely and nothing is strained. I highly recommend! They are more expensive but should have bought them before wasting money on less tidy and capable extensions
