Gurren Lagann DVD Collector's Edition

I like how random and fluid the "evolutions" are in this show and it's fun to watch. There is a lot of fan service regarding the female sniper character, but it is nothing like High School of the Dead bad. The story progresses over a long period of time and it changes gears several times, but I never felt jarred by it.

Okay, for any of you wgo are thinking about buying this and watching it on your ps4. DONT! A ps4 does not support the discs and you will need an official blu ray player to watch it. I tried to and I got the image you see in this review. That being said great show.

Probably a great set but I’ll never know because it’s locked to region 2. Will either need to buy a special machine or just never use this

Yes I made the mistake of Buying a Blu-ray without Reading the Information. it was a Region 0, which means I can't play it on my Region 1, American Player.

When I ordered it, the warning saying it wouldn't work on most blue-ray players in North America was nawt present, now I gawt it ahnd she won't play on anything... I feel tricked.

The Gurren Lagann Blu-Ray release is awesome, the shows characters are the strongest part of this show, they are Simon a timid young lad who lives in an underground village with his friend Kamina, a headstrong young man who wishes to go onto the surface which they are told doesn't exist. when Simon is Drilling an expansion tunnel he finds a small golden drill and later finds a giant face of a mecha called a gunman, when an enemy gunman crashes through the roof of their village and a young female surface dweller called Yoko swings down to help fight the gunman its up to Simon to pilot the gunman to fight it off. This begins a series of events that strengthen the characters and the bonds between them. The characters are also very quotable with a ton of lines that have a fairly deep meaning or at least have meaning to me. Visually the show is beautiful and the story of the show is amazing although it might not be to all tastes and the shows soundtrack suits the story and builds up the hype or suits the mood when necessary. The only flaws with this are that the visual quality of episode 4 is slightly different to the rest of the episodes but this is due to the episode having a different director to the rest of the episodes and the fact that their is no subtitles for any of the kanji on screen or for the opening or ending songs lyrics.

Premetto che Gurren Lagann rientra tra le mie serie preferite...sennonché la potrei definire direttamente come la mia serie animata preferita proprio. Dunque appena fu annunciata questa edizione, ammetto di esserci rimasto molto male. Mi aspettavo decisamente un'edizione come quella di Cowboy Bebop, che per 60 euro(prezzo che aveva quando lo acquistai su amazon), aveva davvero l'ira di contenuti speciali. Uno spettacolo! Invece non esagero se in questo caso dico che ci troviamo di fronte alla peggior edizione(a livello estetico) che la Dynit abbia mai dedicato a dei blu-ray. ... Ma è Gurren Lagann...quindi senza troppi indugi lo preordinai per poi acquistarlo al day-one. E non me ne pentirò mai! Già...perchè se da un lato l'edizione è molto semplice, dall'altro ha un costo comunque che vale tutto il contenuto, che anzi merita di più già solo quello! Ricordo ancora la mia prima visione dei dvd...e dopo aver inserito i blu-ray nel lettore, mai mi sarei aspettato un salto di qualità del genere! Davvero pazzesco. Ho fatto dei veri e propri confronti e questa versione rimasterizzata surclassa nettamente la qualità dei dvd, che quasi sembrano immondizia al confronto. Video portato a 1080p, con audio italiano in DTS HD master audio 5.1. Probabilmente ancora una volta, il lavoro svolto da Dynit, ci permette di essere tra i primi al mondo a poter godere di una cosa simile e di altissimo livello. Dunque se vi piace la serie, non lasciatevi sfuggire questo cofanetto che per un prezzo neanche altissimo(40 euro per una serie animata in blu-ray è davvero poco), vi propone un prodotto davvero eccezionale! Da qui decisamente le mie 5 stelle per il comunque ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. P.s. per quanto non mi piacciano gli amaray in confronto ai digipack, per fortuna in questo caso ci troviamo comunque una cover a doppia facciata...e non ci ho messo neanche 2 secondi a fare il cambio, vista la bellezza di quella che inizialmente è rivolta verso l'internoXD

Pour information, sachez que je ne parlerai pas de l'anime dans ce commentaire, chose qui serait inutile tant beaucoup de sites spécialisés ou non en ont fait l'éloge (bien mieux que moi) dans leurs articles ou critiques. Ici je vais vous parler de cette édition qui vaut vraiment le coup. En effet, en version Blu-Ray, il n'existe en France qu'un seul et unique coffret de GURREN LAGANN. Malheureusement, le prix pose problème et est assez prohibitif car il tourne aux alentours de 144,99 € (prix actuel). Pourquoi alors ce coffret import anglais vendu par AMAZON France est-il intéressant? Il est intéressant car il coute 3 fois moins cher que le coffret précédemment cité et dispose de la version française intégrale! En effet, ceci n'est noté nulle part (ni sur le site AMAZON, ni même sur le boitier Blu-Ray) mais les disques sont exactement les mêmes dans les deux coffrets. Seulement, ce dernier n'est disponible qu'à l'import et il ne dispose pas de l'artbook ni des 2 films inédits (Childhood's end + The lights in the sky are stars) (VOST) et les 15 OAV. Par contre tous les bonus vidéo sont bien présents. Ainsi, si des personnes comme moi sont uniquement intéressées par la série TV, foncez sur ce coffret, le rapport qualité/prix est imbattable!

Kannte Gurren Lagann nicht bevor ich auf Deviantart über Yoko Littner drauf Aufmerksamt wurde. Achtung Spoiler!!! Am Anfang fand ich die Story etwas zähn, weil vieles vorhersehbar war... als dann Kamina starb und Nia auftauchte gab das dem ganzen einen ordentlichen Schub! Wenn gleich die Charaktere mir manchmal wie in OnePiece während den Kämpfen zu viel reden.... Aber das kann man verschmerzen ; ) Der "zweite" Handlungsstrang 7 Jahre nach der ersten Story ist auch cool gemacht, wenn gleich ich das Ende sehr traurig finde! Aber ich glaube das macht diesen Anime so gut und sehenswert! Spoiler Ende! Kann die kurze Serie nur weiter empfehlen! Jeder der sich Anime/ Manga Fan nennt sollte sich Gurren Lagann nicht entgehen lassen =)

Es toda la serie mas extras en Blu Ray calidad excelente. No incluye peliculas ni paralel works.
