Just installed this battery on my 3 year old laptop. Installation was a breeze and the screwdrivers provided were very helpful because they are magnetic for the small screws. My laptop would not hold a single second of charge and so I have been forced to have it plugged in constantly I'm actually typing this review on my laptop that is nicely holding a charge! This is amazing so far. Of course, I just installed it so I cannot comment to longevity but so far this little pleasure of actually having a portable laptop is great! I'm actually waiting for the battery to die so I can discharge it as recommended but it's not! Very reasonable investment for a great new battery.

This battery fit perfectly in my HP ENVY 17-u177cl laptop. I was concerned about having the right tool to remove the cover ( I don't randomly take PCs apart - I know enough to get in trouble! ). The battery came with 2 tools that exactly fit the job. I have to thank a "fix it" video, too. If you have a battery that is not charging, check it for physical damage. Mine had "bulged". Possibly from leaving it plugged in most of the time(?). The included tools sold me.

It installed easily but I noticed right away the battery would only charge to 75 percent. Now 6 months later it wont hold 1 percent charge. Absolute waste of money!

The battery did not quite fit the install holes inside the laptop, but was able to muscle it into a proper fit. Better battery than OEM.

Great replacement if you need one. Remember to remove the screws under the rubber footing.

Used this to replace the battery on a clients laptop and so far they are very pleased with it. It was a straightforward repair. As soon as you take the back off of the laptop, you just have to remove a few screws and throw this bad dog in. The old battery was bulging and totally dead. The client says they get a good 3 hours out of it if they are streaming and 4-6 if they are doing basic work.

For a person who is "all thumbs", this was an easy 10 minute installation, thanks to the person who mentioned there was another screw under the gasket. My laptop is running great.

This battery was a little hard to put in my HP ENVY, had to remove the rubber pad to find the last screws. Once in, it fit like exactly like the original. This is not the batteries fault. It works fine as long as I can tell. This laptop with 4k touch 17" touchscreen still drains the new battery in less than 2 hours, again I dont think it is the batteries fault.
