sleeping bag
Bought for a bug-out bag because it is small and lightweight. Hopefully will never need.

Like a hevy duty plasic bag, But in an emergancy it will do the job
While I was a bit surprised of how light it was, it seems durable enough. If you do take it out and open it. Be prepared to need at least 2 People and some time to fold it back up and roll it to put it away again. Its a lot heaver plastic then the standard "Space Blanket". The orange color makes it highly visible. The thing to remember, as the name says, this is for an emergency, and not meant for camping. Keeping it in a Bug out bag in your car seems like an ideal place. It will keep the wetness away, but I have some concerns about how damp you may get inside from simple perspiration. The corners are cut open on the end. but I think this is more to prevent bag from trapping air in it then for any sort of ventilation. And if your already wet when you get in, you will probably remain so. For the price, its a good insurance policy.

Seem like a good purchase
I keep a couple of these in each car, and one in each of my packs. Have I had to use them? Thankfully no. But inspecting my purchases the bags seem like they would provide some additional protection.

Must have for emergency kit
This is one of those things I bought intending to never use but I will be glad to have if I need it. Small and compact it can fit in the trunk/glovebox/center console of your car, in a backpack or purse, or even your pocket if they are big enough. It's made of the same material as an emergency blanket, so not as warm as your cold weather sleeping bag, but warm enough to get you through a night or two in a pinch as long as you stay somewhere dry and out of the wind. It's a perfect addition to anyone's emergency kit, whether a BOB, roadside emergency kit, or your hiking/camping kit.

Great for Traveling
This set of two (2) emergency sleeping bags are great value for your money. I attach them to my carry-on bag whenever I travel and unfortunately have used it from time to time. Most recently on a train trip from Stuttgart to Paris. They are great in a pinch to keep you warm and from having to lay directly on the ground. I would not recommend them for anything below 40 degrees or so. They are easy to carry, come with their own carabiner clips, and most of all take up very little room. A must have!
