10004 Leak Lock 4 Ounce Brush-Top Plastic Jar

Best pipe thread sealant hands down. Have used this years. A little messy to clean up but will seal even bad threads where other brands will leak.

This stuff is on par with Recotorseal and other brush on pipe dopes for sealing threads. I've never had a leak when using this stuff in conjunction with a few wraps of teflon tape and proper tightening. Sure there is a chance this product would work just fine without the additional teflon, but that's just how I've always used it. Sometimes I apply a little of it before the teflon tape just to assist with wrapping the threads, but a more generous application of this stuff on top of the teflon is what really does the magic. OK, OK. Fine. I also tend to get no leaks with just teflon tape, so perhaps this product isn't even necessary for stopping the leaks. However, as a liquid, this stuff certainly squeezes into all the crevices that solid teflon tape can't, providing thread protection that otherwise would not be there. Not as necessary for plastic and brass, but highly beneficial for galvanized/iron.

Great product it really does work

I love this stuff. it works where other stuff fails. just one thing keep in mind this thing is semi permanent if you have to remove and replace it is a good idea to clean and reapply. Stuff came and somehow it was tossed around during shipping and cracked. I sent an email and expected to hear nothing back for days. Lo and behold they contacted me the same evening a Friday evening. They asked a couple reasonable questions and the new bottle was shipped on the following Monday. So I am happy. good product and super good service.

I applied this product on to several gas leaks on rusty gas pipe and it sealed up these leaks on first attempt. It is a thick chemical with some sort of fiber mixed in to give it some body to it. Based on how thick and gooey this was I was confident this was going to seal up a gas leak. Gas pipe only holds 2psi at the most anyhow and most residential gas service is a half pound pressure anyhow.

Absolutely nothing better for sealing tapered pipe threads!!

No oil or coolant leakage at installation sight. Heat did not effect once set.

This is an excellent product. I've used it since the 1960's and the quality has remained unchanged over all these years. Highly recommendable.
