I could not believe my eyes! Valorie Burton had captured on paper the very question I had pondered in my heart for years. This was an amazing book to read. I highlighted my way through it and it was a great guide for women. It even got me to think differently and helped me go about how I think and handle things in life. I recommend this book to every female in this world. It's life changing and you won't be disappointed. Women, it's time to think differently :) This is truly a blueprint for a successful life as a women. We're already powerful but these habits will change the game forever. I just graduated from college with my Bachelors and these habits have been with me ever since I read the book. Before I graduated, I read this book and the way I finished the rest of my year was phenomenal. I changed the way I thought, the way I handled certain situations, my mindset was on another level and I felt powerful and successful. Valorie Burton did an amazing job with this. I will forever keep this book with me!! 5 STARS

I learned of Ms. Burton attending a conference last February. I looked her up and picked up her book. The coaching questions were impactful and helped me crystallize who I am,and what I'm doing when I am excellent. This was critical because often we're encouraged to mirror others versus replicate our best selves. Also the list of questions for mentors was spot on. If read thoroughly and the exercises are completed it's a demanding but effective read.

I was attracted by the title as I already heard so many times that our thinking determines our life, Valorie proved it one more time giving nice examples which we, women, can relate to. I found many of given advices adequate and answering questions listed after chapters I met some hurting truth about myself and how I saw the world. I hope to overcome my old way of thinking. I especially liked the advice to journal! I do have a blog, but I do not fill it in regalurly and obviously you cannot share intimate things online. I even found my old paper journal from school years and had a great time re-reading it and comparing that young girl with my current self, that was amazing. So, if you know what to do - you've got a guide how to do it now. Another question is what to do if you don't know what to do, this one is not answered in the book, but I guess that was out of author's idea.

Reading this book absolutely changed my life!

This book was straight to the point and held a point of view that really caused me to yield and consider the points made in it. I'm looking forward to my next read from Valerie. As an author myself, I really appreciated how well put together the ingredients for success were organized. Definitely one that'll be up for a second read when needed!

Very good and informative book. I ordered this just in time as I just retired from the military and was thinking to myself. Now what?? Where do I go from here? I read the short version that you had on you site and just had to buy it. Valorie Burton's book has given me inspiration and help me develop something that was hiding within me for so many many years!!! I've always thought of myself as successful working for someone else. Now I get to be successful for "ME" and grow in the directions that I've always dreamed of. Now I live..... again!!

I ordered this book because I misread the title, I thought it was called Sucessful women speak differently; I was looking for a book on how speech patterns affect our way of showing up in the world. When I got it a read the Christian slant I thought I wouldn't take away much but I loved this book. As a coach I was familiar with the concepts and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to do some self coaching. Great journaling prompts to get ones creative juices flowing. There were also a few fems which I willing be applying to my coaching practice.

I REALLY love this book. I’ve had so many women read it already. It speaks to so many things and I feel like Valorie Burton gets it.

I really enjoyed reading this book because of how simple it is to digest. There are many practical steps with coaching questions along the way. I will recommend this book to any woman out there who wants to make a positive shift in their lives.
