Actually a great little toaster
This is the cutest little toaster! It was a replacement for a B&D that served me well for 13 years. Was going to replace with another B&D but my local store didnโt have one I liked so I came to amazon. The reviews for this one were very good so I decided to give it a try. I love that it doesnโt take up a lot of counter space. I love the color! I was a bit concerned it wouldnโt fit into my decor but it looks great! I immediately opened the package when it came today and tried it out. They suggest you run it through a heating cycle before trying to toast anything, so I did. No issues. I then toasted some bread and it did a good job. No toaster I have ever owned toasted consistently perfect and this one didnโt either, but was good enough, no worse than any other I had and didnโt burn the toast. I havenโt used all the functions yet so I canโt speak to anything but toasting bread. It comes with the cover, which I like. It comes with the warming rack, which I am sure to use from time to time. The ONLY problem I noticed is the balance of the toaster, that it is a bit heavier on the control end so when you push the lever down to start the heating it tips a bit to that side. You should press it down slowly or use one hand to hold the opposite end down to keep it from tipping. Although the top got hot, it wasnโt scorching hot so it would be possible to hold the end when making multiple pieces of toast, but the heat could be an issue for some people. You might need a hot pad to do it. Hopefully in the future they will redesign with a counter-weight on the non-control end so it doesnโt need to be held down. Also the outside gets very warm, but not hot to the touch.

Classic looking and works great!
Absolutely love this toaster!!!!!...Love the vintage mint green color. This is the first toaster I've ever had, that actually toasted my bagels perfectly! What a great buy and wonderful product. Makes great toast in many varieties and my family just loves it. Never knew I could like a toaster so much! And also love the ideas of 2-Slice Stainless Steel Toasters with 2 Extra Wide Slots, Especially My kitchen is small but this fits perfectly. So all in all Good Quality and Great Price .

Almost 5 stars... love the warming rack
First of all I would like to address some of the negative reviews stating that the warming rack doesn't fit. It fits perfectly!! I assume that some people didn't notice that it is fold-able, which means you have to unfold it first before putting it on top. (See attached pictures) Pros and cons: Pros: - Cute vintage look - Fold-able warming rack - Dust cover - Makes a beeping sound when you press down the lever and a couple of seconds before your toast is done and the lever comes back up Cons: - English muffins and/or smaller slices of toast won't come up high enough to safely grab them and you can not push the lever up a little higher, so you do have to use tiny tongs or you'll risk to burn your fingers If the lever would have the option to manually be pushed up higher I would give the toaster 5 stars. But overall I think it's an adorable, vintage little looking toaster and I hope it will last a while.

Stay clear-there are better toasters out there
Sadly, I am going to have to shop for another toaster after using this one for 2 weeks. It doesn't pop up and the "retrieve" option isn't helpful. Not sure if kids should be retrieving their toast with sharp objects. The intersting cover doesn't fit but just balances on top when stored. Each morning, we remind ourselves of cautiously reading the reviews before buying. Yes, it is "cute" and "retro" and the color is very nice and as stated, but proper toaster functionality can be found elsewhere.

Adorable style and color....toast is fine, but doesn't eject
I love the mid-century look and color of this toaster, and that is why I purchased it. It makes fine toast. My only problem with the toaster is getting thinner slices of toast out of it. It has no spring ejection, so when the toast is done, it does not always come out easily, especially with thin, smaller slices.

Love it!
I needed a smaller two-slice toaster and wanted a retro look. We don't use a toaster a lot so I was ok with a cheap model for those rare occasions. I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of this toaster!! First of all, I love the look. It is sturdy and appears to be well made. I went out and bought bread to give it a try. I love the multiple browning options and I was surprised at how quickly it toasts. As noted in other reviews the toast doesn't pop up so I have to use my wooden tongs to take it out but I'm okay with that. It would also be wise to run it a couple of times without food items to burn off the smell. I only had to do this twice.

Cute & Colorful
To be honest I coveted a SMEG toaster to match my SMEG retro frig, but having splurged on the latter, I could not justify paying $150 for the toaster. This one ticked my boxes re. color, features & style. Retro in its own right, the dust cover & warming rack are bonus features SMEG doesnโt offer. It functioned perfectly. The only issue of note was the crumb tray was a bit stubborn to push back in. Had to play with it a bit to get it all the way back in.

Cute, but horrible support and missing a key feature
It's a great looking toaster, and it does an admirable job actually toasting. For such an expensive toaster, it doesn't really do a better job than the 8 dollar Walmart toaster it was replacing. The included rack for heating up pastries is actually a really great idea, and I made use of the dust cover as well. However, there was one feature that was missing that really bothered me. You know how most toasters will let you push the lever up a little past default position to help get shorter bread out of the toaster without burning your fingers? Yeah, this toaster doesn't do that. This is the first toaster I've ever seen that didn't have that, and it was sorely missed. That alone would prevent me from not buying this. Beyond that, I had mine for 3 months when I heard a "pop" during one of the toasting cycles. There was a bad smell and one of the coils went dark. Yup. It's dead. No problem, they have a 12 month warranty, I'll just get a replacement. Contacted Amazon, they said to contact the sellers, which I did. Days later, no response. Notice other reviewers on the seller's page says they couldn't get in touch with them to get their warranty honored either. Fortunately Amazon stepped in and offered me a refund, but I will not be replacing this toaster with another one from Pinlo. If it never breaks and you never toast english muffins... yeah, it's a fine toaster. But not worth the price or the risk of it blowing up and you needing to actually use your "warranty".
