Marker Artist's Dream
I've been using my Rendr paper for about a year now and I can safely say that I love it. I use Pigma Micron and Copic almost exclusively, so I can only speak for ink medium, but it truly is no-show. The first day I got it I held a Copic on it for 20 seconds or so (video attached) just to test it out. NOTHING! I don't know what black magic they put inside that paper to make it happen, but I'm thankful. This is the first time since my amateur pencil drawing days that I've been able to use both sides of my sketchbook paper. I haven't had any problems with color accuracy or blending. I've read some reviews saying that microns sit on top too long and smudge, but I haven't personally found this to be the case. Another thing I do appreciate about this paper is that it seems to absorb the Copic ink into the paper surface while also leaving it wet slightly longer than I'm accustomed to, making it easier to fill in large areas without a streaky finish or smudging like you'd get with some other papers where the ink sits on top (Copic, Bee). That being said, it isn't perfect. For starters, I would recommend the spiral bound version over this "lay flat" one. The lay flat version is fine if you like to remove the pages (they come out very nicely), but for actual bound-together books that you carry with you the spiral bound reigns supreme. It has a hard cover and because of the spiral you can actually lay it flat (or stand it up if you want!). As for actual marker use, there is still some feathering happening on this paper, though no more significant than other papers I've used (Borden & Riley #234, my second favorite paper). I also have found that the pages tend to curl up a little bit (not buckle, curl) when I finish coloring something. It flattens back out after the book has been closed for a while, but it's frustrating when trying to get a picture of the final product right away. Overall, I would highly recommend this paper to marker artists!

If you think 3D objects should appear on your desk like 2D objects, do not buy this journal
I am not sure why so many people are complaining about this book not laying flat. I have never seen a flatter sketchbook. But so I wonder what they are comparing it to? It is not as flat as a piece of paper on a desk, or a spiral sketchbook where you're only having to contended with one side of the book at a time, but compared to other bound sketchbooks I have, this one is flat! I can easily open it up on my desk and don't have to fight with half the book closing on me, or having to clamp it open. The "bump in the middle" from the binding is very minimal compared to what I've dealt with in other journals where your arms are in some sort of pretzel position just to keep the book open and you're practically drawing sideways for those last few inches of page before your pen does a nose dive into the "binder abyss." This sketchbook has none of those issues. I've just started using it with POSCA markers and felt tip pens and there is zero bleed through. I am very impressed! The pages are smooth and quite inviting to work in. I love how my pens just glide over the pages. I'm only on page two and already thinking of buying another one. It just feels that. good. The cover is a soft suede(ish) feeling, although it is not suede. I have the 8.5" x 11", soft cover, sewn binding sketchbook.

Best Marker Paper
The best sketchbook for marker illustrations I’ve ever used. No bleed through with alcohol markers very strong Binding. I would not recommend for watercolor but good for most other media. This book does not lay flat so that a little tricky going towards the middle of the book.

Doesn't lay flat, but still a nice sketchbook
Edit1: Added photos Edit 2: Adding another con here. After heavy coloring with marker in this sketchbook, there is slight bleeding on back of page. It's not enough to warrant a lower star rating, but just something to look out for. I will admit I made a mistake and bought the 3.5x5.5 thinking it was bigger than it actually was. This sketchbook definitely doesn't lay flat, even after pushing the page down. The other problem with not laying flat is that the page is too small to do clean background swatches because marker nibs cannot get into small spaces to color evenly. It is also harder to draw because of this as well. However, it does work like a standard Rendr sketchbook should. If you want a lay-flat sketchbook, I recommend getting the spiral- bound one.

Not what I was expecting
I bought this based off an artist I follow, and when I got it in the mail I was curious because it was thinner than I expected. Most of the “marker” sketchbooks I’ve purchased had a lot of pages and were thick and this one wasn’t, so I was immediately skeptical of how it would hold up. I. Am. Impressed. I’m getting back into doing more traditional art and I haven’t used alcohol markers in a long time. The page I’m posting with this is a mixed media of alcohol markers, gouache, and ink using a calligraphy tool. I am not nice to my paper in sketchbooks. This is multiple layers of marker and being heavy handed with the ink. As you can see in the video there is no bleed, so I can utilize both sides of each page. I would highly recommend this product if you’re looking to do mixed media, although I have not tried using watercolor in it for accents, I am very impressed and happy with my purchase.

Fantastic quality!
If you are looking for a smooth, bleed free paper, this is it! Crescent Render notebooks have been my go to ever since discovering them. If you can imagine a wide tip Copic marker or a sharpie making a wide, saturated line- the reverse will have NO color bleed through, but only a slight ghosting of the image (slightly raised, and only visible when you tilt the paper at a certain angle). I have tried to show this in my attached photos. I was testing the limits of the paper with a black and white doodle, and I'm impressed! I would definitely recommend. I am using a pencil to point out the ghosting feature on the reverse of the doodle, which was difficult to photograph. Other info: Good for all media- spray on, markers, pastel, pencil, painting, ink pens like rapidographs, Sharpie, Faber-Castel PITT, Microperm, Zig... you get the idea.

Does not lay flat or prevent all bleed through....
It absolutely does not lay flat as it claims (I purchased the softcover version) and while it does prevent most bleed through, I have noticed that little spots of color still bleed through to the other side of the paper. Moleskine is a better option if you want a lay flat sketchbook. I am still deciding if I will repurchase because for the most part it does prevent most bleed through and leaves the other side of the paper for sketching.

BUY THIS SKETCHBOOK
If you're looking for a sketchbook, look no further. And I'm serious. I've been drawing for as long as I can remember and I cannot remember a higher quality sketchbook than this!! It lays flat...and by golly, it DOES NOT BLEED. the pages are squeaky clean despite using literal paint pens, alcohol markers, gel pens, colored pencils, various inks.... I am so shook... finally, a sketchbook I can fully fill. I really recommend it! And once I'm done with this book you can bet your butt I'm buying another!!

Bel quadernetto
Servizio amazon impeccabile come sempre naturalmente.

Tiny but mighty!
This sketchbook may be small but don’t let it’s size deceive you, it packs a huge punch! The pages are fully bleed proof, even withstanding my Ohuhu alcohol markers and my Himi gauche! It holds pigment really well and, like I said, no bleed or transfer AT ALL! Absolutely amazing sketchbook

Great sketchbook for markers
Brilliant sketchbook. Have been using it with the Arteza Everblend markers and so far am loving it. Normally use glossy paper for these markers so the colours obviously do slightly differ but so far am preferring this paper. Like the other reviews, it clearly doesn’t lie flat but I have been using it with clamp clips to solve this so not too much of an issue. Assume it may lie flat when using the middle of the book, just not the start. Over all really good sketchbook with absolutely no bleed through.
