Canon 2971C005 Bayonet adapter EF-EOS R. , black

It is expensive compared to some of the third party options but this one feels very very solid and has a decent weight to it making it feel stable and secure. Fits onto the body very well and doesn't affect any functions of the lens. The older EF and EF-S lenses still focus perfectly, in fact they're a bit quicker to find focus thanks to the better sensors on mirrorless than older DSLRs the EF lenses were made for. It also is weather sealed which secures an otherwise weak point in weather sealing between the body and older lenses. Comes with a decent protective sleeve to keep it protected in a camera bag. Ideally it'd be smaller, but that is a fact of how the bodies of these camera work vs the older DSLR so this isn't a fault of the product.

Works perfectly as expected. Haven't had any issues with fit or compatibility, nice when something works so well you don't have to think about it.

Hello...i've had this adapter for a while now and it works a treat with my EF lenses, primes and zoomy ones. Image quality is spot on Theres no wobble and everything attaches solidly. As far as i can say its weather sealed, was out in some torrential rain in the North East and there were no misfunctions. To those who say it makes the lens stick out more (of course it does its an adapter after all) but not in any way thats going to effect photographs or moving about, no way. Its saved me sooo much money not having to sell my existing EF lenses to buy replacements for my RF camera. Good Stuff....Bye.

I recently upgraded to an EOS R6II camera but still have loads of old EF lenses. I read mixed reviews about cheap third-party adapters, so I bit the bullet and bought this official Canon one. It is absolutely flawless. The autofocus is just as fast and accurate as it was on my old DSLR, and there is no play or wobble in the mount. Definitely worth the money to keep your old glass working perfectly.

Bought the adapter after upgrading to a new Canon R7. Had EF-S and EF Canon lenses. All work perfectly well. The adapter feels well made and fits the camera and lenses well with a solid fit. Would recommend the Canon version to ensure full compatibility and communication between the camera and body electrics.

The quality is really good don't mind paying more for quality like this solid works good no issues yet helps make My r50 look bigger and helps balance it up with it being a small camera,yes worth the extra dosh you'll not b disappointed if you get one good stuff thanks cannon

Did the job absolutely excellent product.

Works like a dream. Used it for both an ef16-35 and an ef 24-70. Both lenses picked up by my R7 withou a problem. Love it that I can continue to use my old glass with the mirrorles cameras.

Works well with Other EF lenes as well.

I just bought a brand new eos r50 upgraded from a rebel t7. While I was excited, you can’t help but think about all the money you invested in the other camera. It wasn’t too long ago that I bought a very nice 75mm to 300 Ef lens. Well this fixes just that problem you’re able to use all your older lenses and buy ef ones at a cheaper price in general. You can get a converter for cheaper but I recommend just splurging and getting this one it was made by canon so ofc it’s gonna work the best. The auto focus works better than it did on my actual mirrored camera, it fits perfect, and I got it used like new and it came in perfect condition. Highly recommend to someone who just upgraded from a mirrored camera!!!
