First, the craftsmanship is exceptional ~ the colors and pattern are lovely, and I love the simplicity of the design. Second, I’d never heard of a “French butter keeper” but needed to replace my polish pottery butterdish that shattered on the tile. I alway keep soft butter on my counter so o needed a replacement. I really love the way it keeps the butter fresher. I hope they offer more items ~ I’m interested in a small tray or sugar/ creamer ~ 🤩

This is a beautiful butter keeper. It arrived quickly and well protected. Just realize that this is not factory made, my lid does not fit on the top evenly but the water seal still protects the butter. The only other critique is that the handle on the top is a much smaller lip than the butter bell from the original company so I've dropped the lid a couple of times as its hard to get a good grip on it. So a little disappointed, but it looks beautiful on my counter and it keeps my butter soft and protected. Disappointed in these two issues for the price.

i carefully made my selection by looking at all the Butter Keepers on Amazon.com and read the reviews - for which i am so grateful. We wanted something that had a "knob" or grip on the top. We use real butter and need it soft. Packing 1 stick of soft butter all the way into the top part and putting 1/3 cup of cold water into the bottom part (changing every 3rd day) - well we have something elegant and extremely functional. This item is beautiful handmade. The colors are gorgeous. The shipment arrived in great time and very well packed. i could not have been more pleased. This would make a great gift, too.

It’s lovely - but does not match the picture. I bought the one that is all teal colored in the picture - but the one I received also has pink in the glaze. It’s pretty - but was not what I wanted. Since I liked the one in the picture so much - and paid a pretty penny for the item and the shipping - I was very disappointed.

This is a gorgeous piece, and for the person who wrote the "overpriced" review? I disagree. the glaze is very nice, with small construction qualities that make a difference - the lid's "handle" remains unglazed, which provides a bit of friction when it's set upside down on the counter to allow access to the butter. Also, the tactile feel and grip of the handle is pleasant. This is a hand-thrown item made in the US - I'll probably purchase more from this shop.

Haven't used this yet as I just got it in the mail. I'm sure it works just fine. I'm disappointed that I ordered a specific color after looking at all of the options and what I received doesn't look like what I ordered. So now I'm stuck with this thing that doesn't really match what I wanted or my kitchen. I'd warn people that if your heart is set on a specific color combo you might not get what you thought you were buying. See attached photos.

I'm a toast and coffee person in the morning and it's wonderful to have spreadable butter any time I want it.
