Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean Jack Sparrow Stolen Ring Replica

I'm just gonna jump right in. The metal of the ring is nice, it's solid and the color is a nice shiny gold. It's obviously some cheapo metal painted over with gold, but it still looks and feels very nice. The stone part however... From the photo, I thought it was a piece of red colored glass glued to the metal of the ring. Nope. It's painted purple on the metal, then a hard plastic is poured on top of it. (Remember those all plastic rings that were super popular a couple years ago? It's that type of plastic.) Also, it's a rounded (well, oval) stone, not a sharp edged like I thought. All in all, it's a nice ring (for the price) but I'm still a little disappointed. It won't stop me from wearing it, but still. (Also, I put it on a ring sizer, and the size is about a 10.)

I'm a 19 year old woman; for my finger this ring is really big (for any of my fingers). I would love to wear it, perhaps I can get it resized one day? It is not plastic, so the quality is perfect. It looks exactly like the one from the movie. It would be perfect for everyday wear except that it is too big. It is not painted gold, but it is not solid gold. It is 100% metal. The stone is well in place, won't fall out; a nice purple color. Contrary to the picture it is very shiny. Do you know the story? There is an extended clip available on youtube. Jack first stole this ring from some unknown place for Angelica. Angelica soon had to trade it to Tia Dalma (Calypso) to learn the rules of the Fountain. Jack stole it from Tia Dalma and presents it to Angelica in the extended scene of their dance from the 4th movie (youtube). Even though you don't see the extended scene in the movie, you will see it on Jack's finger during the first part of the movie, and it switches to Angelica's finger after their dance. This is exactly what you see here, a CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow replica ring. You have heard of him. A nice, fun piece to accentuate any pirate costume as well. I would call this an accessory, not a toy, as it's metal and is actually a pretty cool ring. The color fits the movie and it's a little dinged up to give it a wear & tear look which makes it all the more better. It was a bit small for my index finger but fit my ring finger just fine, which is 9.5-10.5. I did not get this to be part of a Captain Jack costume so I didn't break any cardinal sins by not wearing it on my index finger...

I knew from the other reviews that the ring would not fit, but I got it anyway, and I do like it! I have to agree it's about maybe a size 10 or 11 ring, but I usually wear it around my neck or I take yarn and eventually it will fit on my finger lol, but it's very beautiful, kinda like a dark purplish red, but any fan of pirates of the caribbean like me, it's a nice piece of the collection.

Faithful replica of the stolen ring, very detailed. Durable, and not too heavy. The purple is vivid and very pretty, and it fits my ring finger perfectly. Roughly a size 10.

I love the Pirates series and really liked this ring. It seems very sturdy and the stone doesn't look like it will fall out. Many people say that the ring is too big so they had to return it or resell it, but there are many DIY ways to make it fit. It was quite big on me but I put two dots of thick, foam-like poster mounting tape in the inside of the ring and now it fits perfectly. It's a great ring for a great price, even though it's a "one size fits all", or rather "one size doesn't fit most". Still, if you don't mind being a little creative it's a great ring.

REALLY Poor Quality. The ring is cheaply coated pot metal, and the "stone" isnt even glass, it's just DULL PLASTIC. This looks like a toy ring you would get out of a 25 cent gumball machine. WAY OVERPRICED for what you're getting.

This ring looks nice and has a certain weight to it but because of the finish, it looks more like a toy rather than an actual replica ring. It is a shame, could have been done better! Its overall size is smaller compared to the ring seen in the movie, that one has more bulk and presence, which is what you'd expect from a replica. So to me this ring is more "inspired" by the original design rather than replicating it as close as possible. It is a size 10 ring.
