Do yourself a favor - buy this excellent cart.
Installed on a Fluance RT-82. I checked alignment after install, and it was perfectly aligned. For mine, I had to balance at the upper end. Recommended is 2.8 - 3.2 I think, and at 3.0, the styles was too jumpy, at 3.2 it was working perfectly. Verified with a stylus pressure gauge. Sound is so warm, but not low-end favoring warm. It does not pass the very high-end as much as the $$$ ones will, but for the price, I think this is one of the best cartridges out there. I compared it to a OMRed and felt the Red was just "tinny" for my like. I like a more balanced mid-range and this one hit the spot. Installation was very easy, and plugged right in - fit perfectly. Great value IMO.

Exceptional Sound Quality and Easy Setup!
The Audio-Technica AT-VM95ML/H Turntable Headshell/Cartridge Combo Kit has completely elevated my vinyl listening experience! From the moment I installed it, I was blown away by the clarity and detail it brought out in my records. The microlinear stylus is the star of the show here. It tracks beautifully, picking up every nuance in the music while minimizing distortion and inner groove wear. My older records, which I thought had worn out, now sound almost brand new! The improved channel separation and tight bass response have made listening a joy. The pre-mounted design on the headshell is a huge time-saver. Installation was straightforward, and alignment was perfect right out of the box. It’s compatible with a variety of tonearms, making it a versatile option for any turntable setup. The build quality is fantastic, and the red finish adds a sleek, modern touch to my turntable. For the performance and quality, this kit is an excellent value and a worthy upgrade for any vinyl enthusiast. If you’re serious about getting the best out of your records, the AT-VM95ML/H combo kit is a must-have. Highly recommend it!

Recommended.
Excellent upgrade. I purchased the Audio Technica 120LPx turntable about 4 months ago. The stock stylus it came with was fine, however I knew that it's hours were limited and that upgrades were possible. First I tried the 740ML which was a disaster....my turntable is on bluetooth and one speaker stopped picking up sound. That went back, and a bit later I bought this instead. Setup was instant- no balancing or recalibration needed. Sound is really good - I'd say a solid 30 to 35 percent better than the stock stylus - eg I just hear more detail. Recommended.

Surprisingly good
I am pleasantly surprised. This VM95ml sounds very detailed and open right out of the box. It comes pre-mounted on an AT headshell; nevertheless, I ran it through normal calibration and setup. Spot on for my AT-LP120. For information, am tracking just below 2.0 grams VTF and antiskate set likewise. Two notes: first, output is a shade low at 3.5mV (a lot of cartridges are in the 4.5-5.5 range) but not an issue as i use a separate preamp. Second, I am already hearing some increased clarity (lack of sibilance) on voices near the end of the side--that is, inner tracks. Some of the hype about ml tracking isn't hype after all. I'll be excited to get 30-40 hours on this cartridge to see how it performs after break-in. This is not a $1200 Hana MC. It's not intended to be. But for $200, it's pretty darn good.

Worth The Splurg!
I have the AT-120XUSB turntable and, like many, I purchased the VM95ML cartridge as an upgrade to the original VM95E which sounded great, however, I felt that if there was a possibility of an improved sound over the E, then I for sure wanted that and so I went for it. It all came factory calibrated so there were no set up issues. After a month of playing, I feel like the VM95ML has broken in pretty good and I would say that for me, the improvement in sound over the VM95E is probably about 10%. But it’s a huge 10%...Of course I was after more sound separation and I got that, however, I never realized how much 3-D sound I was missing, my Polk monitor 40 speakers are pretty deep front to back and with this ML cartridge, the sound is more 3 dimensional and the soundstage is indeed wider. Another considerable payoff in quality is that the previous VM95E had some issues with inner grove distortion and with the VM95ML, this problem is now non-existent. I chose the headshell/cartridge combo for the convenience of easy switch, the VM95ML is an investment that you don’t want to risk by having to be switching out the stylus alone. I will say, if you have, and are currently using the VM95E, you’re fine, the VM95E Elliptical ROCKS, especially if you’re decompressing on your metal classics and for the times when there may be a lot of company around. I will keep my VM95E and use for casual listening, however, if you want to impress people with the results of the hard work (and money) that you’ve put into your system and or you’re wanting that moment of solitude to where you’re breaking out the Floyd or like Alan Parson’s Project etc., then you want the experience to go to 11 and you have to have the VM95ML in your private stock.

Wow... Great added sound and feel
I must admit I didn't expect to hear the improvement in the sound quality as much as I did. I like and really liked my previous AT-VM95 Stylus. I will admit purchasing with the Head rather than the stylus alone was a smart move. I know a about $20+ more but for the ease of use and the ability to easliy change cartridges if you like makes it an easy decision. Also, not really a thing but a thing... I like the red contrast of the cartridge from the previous green. YES, I know it is about the sound quality... And it is worth it!

Pozdrawiam Tom239
