I planted 20 of these in a variety, in mid September in Northern California this year and had a 100% germination rate. They’re all growing well and at a pretty similar rate. There were one or two in the box that had gotten a little squishy, but hadn’t affected the others at all. We’ll see how they look in a month or so, but so far, so good!

(I'll be planting companion vegetables around them today, April 28, 2025) I usually try to get my onion starts in the ground the last week of October/first 2 weeks of November. I was a little late, but it didn't seem to matter! These starts did NOT disappoint! I will totally buy again if available this year! They are doing great in planters as well as my raised beds. These onions germinate very well, and our harvest was almost 100%. The only downfall is the shipping cost half the price of the product. If it wasn't for the high charge with shipping, I would have given it 5 stars.

I was skeptical when a tiny box of tiny bulbs arrived thinking… what a rip off… boy was I ever wrong!!!! Every single tiny bulb I planted turned into a HUGE onion! All 3 varieties were delicious and stored great. I will be ordering these every year.

Maybe I planted too late but, most grew. Now the matter of size is where I am disappointed.

These are the best we have ever eaten. I live in Idaho Planted them according to the instructions in March and started harvesting them in May, every other one. Very mild and delicious. I bought 2 boxes and gave some to my neighbors. I will definitely buy again. Absolutely amazing!!!

The varied onion sets arrived on time in a nice box, all firm and ready to be planted. I am planting them in stages since I don't need all scallions at the same time. Just stick the bulb with right side up in a hole, some of it showing, and water them once (I did not, so some "jumped" out, which I had to replant). Rain does the rest but do water during unusually dry periods. In a bit later than a week you will have fresh scallions for salads. Hard to go wrong with this product. The bulbs are much firmer than what I used to buy from my local nursery, and so far they're staying put in the garage until I plant them. I'll buy them again next year.

I bought a box of these onion sets and planted them over a month ago. So far, only 1 planted has come up. Our weather has been very warm with nearly all nights in the 40's. This is the worst germination I have experienced.

There should have been 60+bulbs they arrived moldy wet soggy and small . I wish to return this and get my money back

I received most of my purple and brown skinned dried out and empty. White ones were fine except for a few.
