Just a brilliant record! Yes solo records have been very good but this is by FAR the best!Featuring guitar maestro Allan Holdsworth on guitar and sexy siren vocals by Annette Peacock & more!Great Progressive mysterious jazz/rock.

A few drummers have released solo albums that are worthwhile. This and One of a Kind fit into this category. As one of the best Rock/Jazz percussionists ever, Bruford surrounds himself with other top musicians like Alan Holdsworth to keep some structure to this type of music (Cozy Powell, Tony Williams spring to mind). To me these 2 albums are very jazzy with rock/pop overtones and quite rewarding as they are not dominated by long drum solos and don't have the drums mixed up too much to the front. They take a few listens to get into, and as long you don't expect YES they are worth adding to your collection (get the remastered versions for the extra tracks, although they are not recorded as well as the original studio album).

Bill Bruford's "Feels Good To Me" gets an excellent remix on both CD & 5.1 surround sound. Recommended for fans of this classic album.

Early "solo" Bruford. Alan Holdsworth runs rampant all over the fretboard. The musicianship is wonderful. A bit of an odd mix - especially noticeable on vocal tunes where the drums are very low in the mix and in the vocal tunes the vocals are way out front. Still, 4 stars.

This is an eclectic record filled with excellent compositions and, of course, fiery playing...this record and it's follow-up, "One of a Kind," are two of the absolute best fusion records of the 70s...Bruford proves himself to be a fine composer and he, Holdsworth, Stewart and Berlin turn in monstrous performances as well...

Another vinyl album I got when it came out in 1978. Now I can enjoy it all over again on cd. I listen to it on the cd player in my car.

This is a superb album I've loved for forty years, having bought it on vinyl when I was 18, just after it came out. If you enjoy good quality jazz rock (think Brand X or Weather Report) then this is for you. SUperb from beginning to end, even if Annette Peacock's vocals are, ahem, an acquired taste... But it's mainly instrumental, anyway. It really is a shame this band was so short lived.But the main purpose for my reviewing such a well-known album is the quality of the remaster. I've continued to listen to my original copy of this on vinyl since I bought it in 1979, mainly because the CD version was so lifeless, like many early CD transfers. This remaster really brings it back to life, giving it back the punch the original L.P. had. But it's also unlocked a lot of detail I hadn't heard before. If you love this album, buy it. Now.

Great to hear this again after so many years. I've not A B tested the remix vs the original but it still sounds good.

Love this album had the original vinyl copy then sold all my vinyl in favour of CDThis remixed version is fantastic and it's great to have this great album back in my collection
