Swpeet 14 Pcs Professional Coaxial Cable Tool Kit with Ratcheting Stripper, 10pcs BNC Crimp Connectors

I spent much time choosing whether I wanted to buy this kit from Swpeet, a company I'd never heard of before and whose name I can't pronounce, or buy the parts individually for twice as much from vendors I knew have been around a while. I like professional quality in hand tools but I know that my occasional use of such tools doesn't always warrant their higher cost. In the end my aching wallet won out and I chose the cheaper option. The kit arrived today and I was quite pleasantly surprised. The tools show the same quality I would expect from the name-brand vendors. The crimper is well-made, tight, smooth and accurate, the jaws of which are well cast and finished and they are removable which means you can probably use them interchangeably with those from other companies that sell the same design crimper. The wire cutters are slightly less perfect in fit and finish but the cutter edges are sharp and have no nicks or spaces, and the coax stripper appears to be the same item available separately, that is, it is not a cheapened copy. I noticed the blades of the stripper may need a bit of adjustment but it came with the built-in Allen wrench and adjustment screws just like the name-brand item does. There's also an interesting combination philips/slotted screw driver that has a notched shaft that can also be removed and fitted perpendicularly to the handle for added leverage. Finally, this kit comes with a well made case and five each of BNC plug and PL-259 connectors. I won't know the quality of the connectors until I've used them for a while but they appear to be excellent. When you combine this kit with Amazon's Prime Shipping you get a very good deal that you would find hard to beat elsewhere. Time will tell, of course, whether the kit works and lasts as good as it looks but so far it looks quite promising.

Good deal. It comes with a rather unique screw driver that is both straight and phillips the unique part is the adjustable length and the handle can also be put in a T configuration. The crimper, wire cutters, and coax stripper are good quality actually the exact tools i have seen at higher prices. The connectors appear to be plated brass with a gold center conductor (they are not for RG8X which was my only disappointment. At that price the connectors are almost free.) It all comes in a handy carrying case. I would recommend this product.

I had almost no prior experience with attaching these types of connectors. Consequently, the job seemed to be inordinately difficult, fussy, and time-consuming. I don't think the tool set was the problem so much as the nature of the work, and my inexperience. But, I did feel the jacket-stripping tool didn't work very well. Otherwise, the tools seemed to do their job - albeit with some difficulty - and the resulting connections seem to work OK. So, I guess that's a win.

Great quality, came with some connectors too! This crimper made it very easy to put connectors, sma and pl-259 on rg316 cable. I'm very happy with my purchase and with care these tools will last a long time. One thing that would be helpful would be a pictorial diagram of how to use the tools, I had to do some research on Google and YouTube to learn the proper way to use these.

I am disappointed! The screwdriver that comes with it is just an add in item, it has no relevance to the kit. The coax stripper is a cheap knock-off version of a known quality version, or at least that is how it looks, feels, and cuts! I havet had a chance to use the crimper yet. The connectors sent with the kit wont fit any coax I have here. The smallest I have is RG8X, and the crimp barrel itself is the same size as the outer diameter as the coax. The connector wont fit the coax at all. I am waiting on the package of quality connectors I ordered to arrive as well to try the crimper. I expect the crimper to work mostly as designed. It feels solid and does not feel sloppy or loose. Nice tight ratchet all the way to close. The Die's appear to be replaceable. they also don't appear to be cut real clean, and leave me to wonder about how well they will crimp on some of the smaller coax. I will update once I have connectors for the cables, and have used it for a while. I will give this a 3 stars for now based on feel and appearance. I do believe this will work fine for most coax cables as a hobbyist. The wire cutters are certainly cheap. but they will work for a little while. I have better quality already so these will just get tossed in the bag and used as back-ups to the back-ups!

Works great and is well made and sturdy. It is well worth the price.

I needed to shorten the antenna cable on a GMRS radio I was installing. I bought this kit as it had everything I needed. So far so good, I have recently used it on another install and was again pleased with the kit. Good tool for the money, I’d buy again.

This little package was just what I needed to start doing my own PL-259 connectors. When it arrived however, I received 10 of the back connectors instead of 5 BNC and 5 PL-259. After a short exchange of email and a picture I promptly received 6 PL-259’s mails from China. I used google translate to send a short message in Chinese thanks for the help and we both exchanged smiles. P.S. pink trim, no big deal. I found a utube video which explained how to adjust the cutting tool. Once I did that, it worked great.
