BY THE AUTHOR WHO BROUGHT YOU THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA AND THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2 ! “ The Devil Wears Prada ’s Emily Charlton gets the spin-off she deserves” ( Cosmopolitan ) in the New York Times bestseller from Lauren Weisberger in which three women team up to bring a bad man down in the tony suburb of Greenwich, Connecticut. Welcome to Greenwich, Connecticut, where the lawns and the women are perfectly manicured, the Tito’s and sodas are extra strong, and everyone has something to say about the infamous new neighbor. Let’s be clear: Emily Charlton does not do the suburbs. After leaving Miranda Priestly, she’s been working in Hollywood as an image consultant to the stars, but recently, Emily’s lost a few clients. She’s hopeless with social media. The new guard is nipping at her heels. She needs a big opportunity, and she needs it now. When Karolina Hartwell, a gorgeous former supermodel, is arrested, her fall from grace is merciless. Her senator-husband leaves her, her Beltway friends disappear, and the tabloids pounce. In Karolina, Emily finds her comeback opportunity. But she quickly learns Greenwich is a world apart and that this comeback needs a team approach. So it is that Emily, the scorned Karolina, and their mutual friend Miriam, a powerful attorney turned stay-at-home mom, band together to navigate the social land mines of suburban Greenwich and win back the hearts of the American public. Along the way, an unexpected ally emerges in one Miranda Priestly. With her signature wit, Lauren Weisberger offers an alluring look into a sexy, over-the-top world—and proves it’s style and substance together that gets the job done. “A delicious sequel to The Devil Wears Prada… exploring what it’s like to be a woman buffeted by conflicting messages about career, relationships, and motherhood” ( The Washington Post ), When Life Gives You Lululemons is “amazing novel about…truth, lies and how everyone is a little bit insecure” (Associated Press). “Fast-paced, funny, and gossipy, this is the must-have accessory for your beach bag” ( PopSugar ). Review: Intriguing - I couldn’t put this book down. I was so caught up with the women’s lives. Each woman was so intriguing and each life had me totally wound up in their aspersions. I highly recommend this book. Review: Great fun but slightly dated - Easy to read with a good dose of escapism because of all the beautiful and wealthy characters, however, even though the novel is less than ten years old, it feels a bit dated - maybe a sign at how quickly the world is changing!

I loved this book
I never read The Devil Wears Prada, but loved the movie. When I heard there was a sequel I was delighted. The characters are great fun, and the story line is like a soap opera. Great beach reading that you will race right through.

Good as a stand-alone, disappointing as book no. 3
I loved both The Devil Wears Prada and The Devil Returns. This was a good entertainment chic-lit book, but not up to the standard of the two previous books. Emily just didn't seem sassy enough, Miranda was just too nice all of a sudden, and the few sentences about Andy were disappointing (both in terms of space given her, and what the author has decided that Andy has done with her life). I would have loved more of the characters from the first books to have more follow-up here, and perhaps tie some of the strings better together. This was too much of a stand-alone book. But as such, it was an OK read.

Is Greenwich Ready for Emily
Just as fairytales have darkness in their midst, often novels with whimsical titles have a wee bit as well. Such is the case with Lauren Weisberger’s book WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LULULEMONS. That’s not to say that it isn’t a riot, because it is. in Greenwich, three women come together, each with different backgrounds, each strong in their own right. Each struggling with something. One, something major. Karolina, a former model, married to a senator, soon to announce his run for president. Arrested for drunk driving, but she isn’t drunk, while with her son and his friends. Her world is turned upside down. Shunned by her friends, torn from the child she loves, and the husband whom she thought loved her. If you read THE DEVIL LOVES PRADA, you will remember Emily as the sassy assistant to the evil Miranda Priestly. She is now in LA running her own gig but itching for some East Coast action. Her business is struggling or rather being taken over by millennials who promise but don’t deliver. Miriam, Emily’s good friend, a Harvard-educated power-house corporate attorney, who has had enough and wants to try her hand as a stay-at-home suburban mom with her three young kids but didn’t realize the major adjustment it would entail such as making new friends and fitting in with head-to-toe every day Lululemon clad fellow moms whose main occupation is vaginal reconstructive surgery and lots of day drinking. Is Greenwich ready for a visit from Emily? There is some serious upheaval ahead, major damage control to be done, and wardrobe adjustments to be made. But loads of fun and keen observations behind the dark underworld of the suburbs. If you’ve been reading psychological thrillers that have left you breathless, this book is a breath of fresh air.

Always Miranda...
Nice comfy read. The kind you curl up with on a snowy afternoon when you don't want to over think anything because these lovely ladies do it for you. I really enjoy Weinberger's prose. Nice structure, nice pace, perfectly wonderful characters all makes a great story that makes you smile, sigh, and cheer for your fictional friends.

Just hated it
The story in itself wasn’t extremely bad, but the ideas it conveys are sick. Made me feel very bad about myself, as I am not meager, rich or popular, and as I am over 20 it seems according to that book yhat I am too old to be, attractive.

Light, funny and entertaining
The content of the book is entertaining and its very easy to relate to the characters, as an adult. Not your usual chick-flick, its even better.
