its a quality mousepad
pros: - great size, medium is big enough for tons of free movement but small enough it fit on the slide out on my desk perfectly. - feels and looks quality. surface is consistent and fast but not overly silky so the mouse floats but stops when your hand stops, just right. stitching around the edge is subtle, but makes it stand out. combined with the crisp logo that hasnt worn even a bit after a year. quality. - cleans well. doesnt retain as many crumbs and other bits of debris compared to other/older pads. just hold it out, slap it, looks good as new lol cons: - none that stand out. bottom could be a tiny bit stickier but thats if i had to absolutely pick something. other: - the picture of the mousepad appears to show the edge stitching being slightly brighter than the pad itself. however i would say the stitching is a darker black than the pad. not a big deal, just an observation and maybe just my eyes/monitor are wrong ha. - i would have liked to have seen a version with white stitching around the edge. This would match the logo and look really crisp. (and match my white/blue PC ;) overall i give it a 95% rotten tomatoes

Outstanding Mousepad
I don't normally review items but after ordering this mousepad for the second time, I think it deserves it. This is my second time ordering this mouse pad. The first time was nearly 5 years ago and I had just recently decided to get a new one. I tried a wide array of mousepads but I still came back to this one. After 5 years of use and abuse, it held up perfectly. The stitched edge never frayed, the rubber bottom never slipped, and the surface always provided perfect tracking regardless of its condition. I only decided to get a new one because the surface started to wear out and became too fast for my preference. Given I had used it, quite literally, every single day, it took the full 5 years to even consider getting something new. Even though it comes rolled up, it only took me 5 minutes and a hairdryer to make it perfectly flat. I am sure packaging it rolled up is a way for SteelSeries to save money but that savings is relayed to the consumer. You get an amazing quality mousepad for what is considered the low end of the price range for mousepads. Even in 2024, I put this mouse pad at #1.

Works great!
I love the size of this mat! It is pretty big so I don't have to worry about staying on the mat while playing games. it is nice and thin too so even though my keyboard is on part of the mat, I don't even notice it. It is a very stable mat, doesn't slip around at all. I know I posted a review earlier but I just have to say again, "I love this mat!". It is really nice to be able to use my mouse without having to worry about staying on a small mat. Not only that but I have my keyboard on part of the mat and it keeps it from moving around without seeming to add any height to it! I like the stitched edge, it keeps the mat nice and flat.

Very nice mousepad! Excellent surface for an optical mouse
I have used an optical mouse for several years now and for a few of those years, I just used it directly in the surface of my keyboard tray until the "wood grain" pattern started to wear off which left a poor surface for the laser to react to. I then made a DIY mouse pad by printing a pattern on regular paper which I then put into a vinyl sheet protector. This worked very well until the sheet protector started to warp and become "cloudy" as a result of the mouse passing over it repeatedly. I had been looking at large mousepad options for a while. I wanted one that would cover the entire surface of my keyboard tray which is approximately 27" by 17" but, the only ones that would do that would need to be cut down in size. As much as the larger mousepads cost it would be foolish to cut them into a smaller size and void any warranty (the warranty issue is something I didn;t even think about until I contacted Steelseries to see if the XXL version without a stitched edge could be cut down without any issues of separation between the fabric and the foam backing and they did not recommend cutting it because it voids the warranty). This large sized pad (which is roughly 17" by 15") seems a nice compromise. When I was using my DIY solution I would have trouble when going too close to the top and the mouse would get caught on the edge which is why I wanted one that would cover the 17-inch space from front to back on my keyboard tray. The only reason I wanted to also go from edge to edge was purely for aesthetics and while this mouse pad does not cover the entire area I wanted it to it does everything else it is needed to do. I give this 4 stars rather than 5 as the logo on the corner seems as though it can wear off rather easily (this is based mostly on visual observation and a little bit on running my fingers over the logo). I could remedy this by having the corner with the logo at the back edge of my keyboard tray rather than at the front edge but, I prefer having it where I will actually see it. As many reviews for larger mousepads state, it does not lay completely flat when you initially take it out of the box. However, there does not appear to be any major buckling or any sort of "hump" that some people seem to have with larger mousepads. The biggest potential problem with a fabric covered mouse pad has to do with liquids and stains but, I knew this before I even decided to make the purchase. Unless you want a different sized mousepad (be it larger OR smaller) I think you would be happy with this product. Very nice mousepad! Excellent surface for an optical mouse

Good for aim
Ive had the desk mat, but ive personally grown out of desk mats especially when it comes to taking care of it, so I downsized to the Large size. This mousepad is one of the better mousepads ive used for aim and tracking, make sure to take good care of it and keep it clean as with all mousepads if you're serious about aim. I use this on my Logitech G Pro Wireless and Tiger Ice skates on 800dpi, and its a decent increase experience at higher levels of aim compared to when using cheaper mousepads. I live in a humid and tropical climate and it constantly stays dry, the stitched edges are nice, but the material is not too nice to chafe your arm across for long periods of time, after a few months I have a white streak at the bottom of the pad where my arm goes. But these are usually to be expected anyway.

Feels great, but wish it came in different color. Also may want to avoid the stitched edge version.
Great grip on surface, super smooth, just wish colors could vary. Seems like 90% of mouse pads are black with limited color options so not a specific manufacturer issue but more of an industry wide thing. Perhaps it's to avoid reflection or distraction but the downfall is that the particles that land on it are way more in your face. Of course one could clean it but too busy gaming. Great pad though in terms of quality but why not add some color to the lineup? I also tried the stitched edges and returned since didn't lie flat on the surface after coming rolled up in a box. Probably a way you could fix that with weight but not welcoming right out of the box. Non-stitched did not have this problem.

Medium Stitched Edge mousepad
This is the best mousepad I have ever owned! It is large enough that I never slip off the edge of the pad. It is thin and very comfortable to use for hours. The stitched edges are sturdy and do not cause discomfort like the edges of some mousepads do. There was no noticeable smell like other reviews mention. It arrived rolled and the corners did not lie *completely* flat for a day or two but that is no longer an issue. The underside has a great non-slip material. I use it on a fairly slick, wooden surface and the pad does move the slightest bit during intense game sessions. Again, it moves a very small amount. I only notice because it is no longer "perfectly" aligned with the edge of the desk. It does not affect gameplay in the slightest bit. I would highly recommend this mousepad!

Stitched Edge Is Worth It
First of all, this is a great mouse pad. It is supper smooth and works excellent with my steelseries 110. However, if you do not play games, and do not use a gaming mouse, it is hard to control the sensor because of how smooth the surface is. I tried to use a generic $5 logitec mouse and it had a hard time keeping up and a harder time slowing down. This might be due to it being a laser mouse rather than the gaming optical mouse. Also, amazon goofed and had sent me two pads instead of one, not that i'm complaining. It seems like a genuine steelseries mouse and does not feel cheep or a knock off in anyway. I used to use a Corsair MM200 mouse pad which was slightly smoother, however because it did not have a stitched edge, it began to fray after a year of use. Overall, this is a great gaming mouse pad and I highly recommend spending the extra $2 to get the stitched edge to prevent fraying.

Big, Smooth glide and cheap
It is decently smooth initially, but does slow down after breaking in. In terms of friction, this mouse pad is an all rounder and is good for any game. I've played csgo, valorant, LOL, Marvel rivals and more, never had a problem with precision or tracking. The size is perfect for arm Aimers giving me enough space to perform big movements. Quality of the stitching is good, and durability is average (been using it for 2-3 months now). Overall, nothing special but it's a bang for your buck if you want an all rounder mousepad, just buy it went it goes on sale because if it's 30+ then it's no longer a bang for your buck.

Rand
De gestikte rand is een stuk dikker dan het matje zelf, waardoor je met je arm/pols steeds over die verdikking schuurt!
