Works well! Brother loved it!
Going to be honest... I don't know much about soldering. I bought this so my brother could solder a new end to a fan. :))) From what he says, and I quote... "THIS THING IS AWESOME! IT WAS THAT CHEAP?" Yes. His words, the guy who has soldered many times. From what I can tell, it heats up quickly, got the job done extremely well, and included all of the tidbits he needed. It's super easy to use, plug in, solder, and do what you need to do! It has now been added to my toolbox. Definitely worth the money, I would say!

very nice starter iron!
this iron works great and i do love that you can set the temp to what you want it and not preset temps already with only like 3 setting like some others do..i like the ability to fine tune the temp to what i want it to be. it only comes with one tip which is a bit of a bummer to me since i need multiple for what i do and they are a different type of tip so you cant just use any old tip from other irons. the price i think is very good and affordable and the quality of it seems to be made well and does a good job so far!. its easy and fun to use and the design is simple enough to figure out and understand how it works. great deal for the price and defiantly if you are just starting out i would recommend this iron for sure. only took one star away due to the rosin paste it comes with...it arrives hard like a resin and im not familiar with this type and dont use it since its rock hard maybe it melts when you put the heated iron to it...im not too sure but thats my own fault for not knowing how to use it

Nice Starter Kit for Electrical Repairs, Wiring, and Hobby Projects
This looks like a solid beginner-friendly kit because it includes the basics in one package instead of making you buy the iron, stand, wire, flux, and extras separately. That makes it convenient for someone getting started with soldering or wanting a simple all-in-one kit for occasional repairs. Good fit for hobby use, light electrical work, and learning. Pros: โ All-in-one kit convenience โ Good for beginners and casual DIY use โ Useful extras included โ Nice for simple repair work Cons: โ ๏ธ Better for light-to-medium hobby use than heavy daily shop use โ ๏ธ Entry-level kits still depend on user technique for best results Overall, a nice starter soldering kit.

Great if you know what you're doing!
This was my 1st experience with a soldering iron and it sat on my shelf for months waiting for me to garner the courage to try it. I am not ignorant of tools and dyi. When I used the QR code, it took me to a generic manual that contained a lot of stuff that didn't pertain to my iron. Unfortunately, I printed the whole thing before I realized it had nothing in there about HOW to solder. I spent a stupid amount of time trying to find a video to do that. Once I decided to just "jump in", everything went as desired (although a bit sloppy since I didn't really know what I was doing). My 2 projects have stayed soldered so far. Since it is such a low price option, assuming that buyers are absolute novices needing basic instructions would be good, imo. It does seem to do the job well, heats up nicely and is comfortable to use. If I was already familiar with how to solder, it would've received 5 stars.

Worked wonderfully for my GBA project
This kit was very efficient for me to mod my GBA without issue. Everything I needed was provided in this kit and made the process substantially easier. My GBA now has hdmi output thanks to this soldering iron. Will be using this in the long run!

Worth the money.
I unpacked it and tested the iron by removing a few parts from a circuit board. It was hot enough to do the job. It felt good in the hand to use and the handle was cool. I only occasionally repair circuit boards and I think this iron will do OK. Time will tell if it holds up and will heat hot enough for all circuit board components. For now, with my quick test, it appears to be worth the $10 I paid. It is a bargain at that price.
