I bought this specifically to replace the spring mattress that came with our sofa bed in our 5th wheel. The queen size fits well and expanded to the full advertising size. The metal frame and bars are not a problem anymore. Originally I had put a 2” memory foam topper on the springs but have been unhappy with that setup as the metal frame was still a nuisance. Furthermore, the extra mattress thickness made folding the bed in a problem. This mattress fold in properly. I’m 74 and 6’4” 245 and while I do not intend to use this as a primary sleeper, I could, I believe, use this sofa in a pinch without a problem. My wife agrees that we made a wise choice in this mattress and she feels comfortable using it as a secondary bed. No complaints. Hope this helps someone in there decision

Excellent product! Very soft and comfortable. Exactly what I was lookig for. It folds perfectly and comes with a mattress protector. The foam is thick enough to offer a pleasant rest. I am happy with the my purchase and recommend it one hundred percent.

Measure your frame! We have a queen size and this mattress is too small -- I didn't measure my frame beforehand and trusted the "queen size" so I'm not deducting from the rating because that was my fault. This is just a word of caution to everyone else. Expensive mistake. That being said, it is significantly more comfortable than the mattress that came with the bed. I can feel where the bar is, but it is very minimal and so much better than before. I think this is a great purchase and it was worth the money. It is a tight squeeze to fold back up, but it does fold back up.

Makes my old sofa bed feel as comfortable as a regular bed. My son gave this to me as a birthday gift to use in my small pied-à-terre NYC studio apartment. (He probably had an ulterior motive since he and his girlfriend occasionally use the apartment when they come in from out-of-town and mentioned that the old mattress was uncomfortable!) It was delivered free by FedEx within in 9 days coming from California. Since it was vacuum packed, the box was only about 4 feet tall and 1 foot wide (which another reviewer pointed out before I purchased it). My old mattress was 72" x 59". This one is slightly longer than advertised at about 72.5" (which was no problem in fitting my frame since the foam compresses a bit making for a perfect fit) but only 58" wide. However, this 1" difference is not a problem. The small space on the width of the frame is hardly noticeable. Furthermore it's no problem at all when sitting on the side of the mattress, say to get up or put on your shoes, since the foam is nice and firm. One of my concerns was that since my old mattress was only 4" thick and this one is 4.5", I might have a problem closing the bed. To my surprise it closed fine. The best feature is that you don't feel the support bars of the frame AT ALL! A great added feature is that it comes with a no-skid, washable zippered mattress cover for extra protection and comfort. All in all, this was a great buy. We'll see how well it holds up in the long run.

Good fit. Got this to replace the mattress on the hideaway. Fits the couch nicely. True to size. Everyone that has used it at the lake saybuts comfortable and good quality. Couch still folds up early. Ship was good. Removing it from package was easy as well.

I have a two bedroom and two teenagers...I gave up my room so they can have their own space. I sleep on the sofa sleeper in the living room EVERY NIGHT so I had to find something that would make my sleep as comfortable as possible. This is a must-have even for occasional use. I actually purchased a bar guard (Meliusly Sleeper Sofa Support Board, also from Amazon) and I use a gel mattress topper. In combination with those things, the sofa bed is as comfortable as a regular bed. The mattress is a little thicker than the original mattress but it fold up nicely. It's also about two inches longer but that's not an issue either. I can't fold up the mattress topper with it so I have to remove it and store it separately but it's totally worth it. I did a lot of research for a replacement mattress and actually my old mattress wasn't really that bad but I wanted the best comfort I could get. I also didn't want to spend a lot of money. This is a great mattress for the price. I'm so glad I didn't go with a more expensive mattress because this one is great.

So comfortable

The quality of this seems good, but I think it's important to understand that contrary to other reviews I read this is not going to be sufficient by itself with a conventional hide a bed with the 3 bar support setup and the canvas type lining on the bars. We let it sit open for a few days as instructed, and both my wife and I laid on it and tested it. You can absolutely feel the bars in your back or sides, there is no way we could sleep a whole night on this. We ended up needing to order a backer board that folds and hopefully that will make this work. In retrospect we should have just spent the extra 150$ to get the original air mattress with springs that needed replaced on our sofa bed. I think if you have a camper with a wood base this would be just fine.

We needed to replace the mattres on our sofa sleeper but where to find one. We needed a queen size/ We searched all the stores and where I had seen onr at our Sleep Country store they had now discontinued them. We were recomesnded to another store but they did not appear to have them either. So we ca,me to Amazon, they did not have a huge selection but the one we chose had a 4.5 inch mattress which was excactly the right sixe for the bed. When it was delivered we were very pleased with the look of the mattress. It had a cover on it that was waterproof and it looked as if it was very sturdy. The first to try it were our two granddaughterss who said it was fine. Thank you Amazon.

This mattress has good support and fairly comfortable. It is 4 1/2” thick and a bit hard to fold into sofa bed base. With some effort , it worked. If it was 4” only, it would be better fit for sofa beds .overall, it is worth the money
