The Apex Tool Group used to make Gearwrench in the USA, as a subdivision of KD, but it sounded gimmicky ad sales were not up to expectations. Then, Bain bane Capital liquidated much of US tool manufacturing by ruining the Apex Tool Group, including Armstrong, KD, Allen and more. Production was moved to Taiwan to help make Mitt Romney and his cronies a lot of money despite untold negative consequences for US workers, the US economy overall, world ecology, and US national security. Now, production has been moved to China to ratchet-down quality even further while maintaining prices, and thereby increase shareholder profit.
