I purchased this to set the depth on my router and table saw and have already used it dozens of times. It is extremely simple to use, sets consistent depths, and is easily adjustable. The measurements are easy to read and I like that. It doesn’t require batteries and allows me to set or measure any depth - not just preset ones. This is a great value for the money.

Simple design but eliminates guesswork and ‘near misses’ in measuring for work with routers, table saws and more. I’m putting away the tape measure—-for precise cuts, this is the tool to use.

A pretty good value for the price, easy to read. I generally like Milescraft products but the continued use of plastic pieces is starting to affect overall quality. It does what it is supposed to do but would not buy again.

Saw night has always been hit and miss. This solved the mystery! Not 100 percent accuracy but close enough

I bought this to set table saw blade and router bit height in router table. the scale has mm on the metric side, and inches on the SAE side. the SAE side is marked to 16ths, so resolution is fair but one could interpolate to 32nd. It will suit for most of my woodworking. the scale comes thru the top and the offset from the top should be the same as the gap at the bottom. I like that it has two feet for straddling over the target and will stand up independently on a level surface. It also serves to set router fence to bit distance horizontally, but the bit needs to be at least 1/4 in h to meet the scale.

Beware! This thing comes with some previously unseen, but scary health warnings! Yes, health warnings on a depth gauge. The worlds smallest print declares that it is made with some registered toxic nastiness and that it should only be handled when wearing disposable gloves! Yike! OK, so its a California State proclaimation, which has zero bearing on the real world, and my fingers havent dropped off yet.....but they dont mention this little point on the write-up do they? Maybe I should stop using it as a chew toy and stick to measuring depths with it instead........

I have a new saw bench that I can wind up the saw blade to a set height above the base. This tool is great for ensuring that the height (and consequentially the depth of cut in the timber) is correct. Simple to use, the right span to cover even dado blade sets. Recommended.

Der Tiefenmesser funktioniert einwandfrei. Die Skala ist gut ablesbar. Im Gegensatz zu manch anderen Geräten ist die metrische Skala doppelt auf einer Seite und die Zollskala auf der anderen Seite (und stört deshalb nicht).
