Great quality - very reasonable price!!
Well made, heavy duty leather sheath. Fits the Trapper perfect. Was surprised at the quality for such a reasonable price.

Very soft and comfortable sheath ...
First impressions when I took it out of the package is that it was very nice and classic made - leather is very soft and subtle and I believe it will work for a variety of different medium size knives that I own - I have always just stuck knives like this with no pocket clip into my pocket with no worries but seems often I find myself looking around the house for where I misplaced my knife only to find that it had slipped out while sitting in my chair or couch - never thought I would be a sheath guy but this one is small, light and you barley notice that you have it on your belt - for the peace of mind of not having to worry about losing my knife while out in public where it will be gone forever is worth it to me - also, I now can free up a bit more precious room in my front pocket for other uses - the Case Sodbuster is the knife shown that I carry in it now - they are around 3.5 inches long and fits great - being a fatter/wider knife it works well and can unbutton and grab with ease - I tried putting the Case Copperlock in it as well ... it’s about the same length as the Sodbuster and it will work ok - that knife is a little slimmer so it sinks into the sheath a bit more than the SB and the tip shows just above the top of the sheath and it’s a little slicker to grab onto and definitely takes a bit more effort to get it out - so it should be fine for 3.5” knives though some will work better than others - most others up to around 4” should fit great ... but again it all depends on the width - overall it’s a great little sheath for the money - time will tell how it holds up but I imagine it will age like a great leather wallet over time - I hope they make one like this in black someday

Does not fit full sized sod buster.
Not the best sheath I’ve seen. Leather is thin and loop hole looks small and cut into back of pouch. Still decent enough. Got it for a sod buster knife. Knife said medium in desc and so did sheath case? IT DOES NOT FIT FULL SIZED SOD BUSTER. It does fit another knife I have. Like when case matches knife. May cut flap and sew in an extension? For me, sheaths are not worn on belt, but like having a protective cover for hunting knives while rolling around in truck.

Bargain deal for the price
Got this for my case trapper. For $13- can’t be beat. It’s not perfect- but it’s perfect if you want to carry a trapper on your belt and you have $13 to spend. Cons- as other reviews have mentioned, the belt is not threaded into a loop in order to wear, but in a slot in the rear of the sheath itself. Not a big deal- it’s a pretty solid sheath. Plus it’s $13. The snap is a little light- might pop open if you brush up against something hard enough. My shirt usually hangs over mine, so not an issue. I keep seeing other reviews mention that the snap might damage your knife as the metal interior portion of the snap is immediately inside the sheath. I don’t think this is a concern as the leather is raised around the snap. So no part of the snap’s metal touches the knife at all. Maybe over time it would compress enough to touch or possibly scuff your knife’s handle- but I don’t carry my trapper to keep its handle pretty. I beat the hell out of it. It’s with me for a reason. I’ve also seen reviews say it’s loose for a standard large trapper. Eh, maybe a little, just enough that it can move some. I don’t ever notice a feeling of it rattling while I’m carrying it tho. ($13) Pro- carries a trapper (or comparable) in a nice comfortable sheath on your belt. Good leather, rivets, solid stitching- I fully expect this will last me a couple years at a minimum, probably longer. If it lasts me 13 months I’ll still call it a bargain and order another one just because it fits the trapper and isn’t too obtrusive on my belt. I’ll add that the sheath is low profile enough that you hardly notice it- slimmer than a buck 110 or leatherman sheath.

nice sheath for case russlock
I purchased this sheath for my case russ lock . The sheath is not very big approximately 4 inches in length. I have had this about 3 days and my russ lock fits perfect and quite easy to draw, but is held snug in sheath. As like a holster it will require a little break in. First night wrap knife in wax paper overnight. On the second night insert the knife in the small zip lock that it arrived in over night. When you remove it the knife should exit the sheath perfectly. Do not oil or wet as some folks said to do. All holsters require a slow break in don't over stretch you cant reverse the stretch. This sheath is perfect for the russlock. I have an inch and a half wide gun belt which also fits snug however that to will loosen up after a little wearing of the sheath.

I've bought three of these cases for various knives and they all have turned out to be a bargain price. 2/3 have been excellent quality leather and stitching as well as Taking form to my knives right away (one is a Leatherman Wave+ and the other is a knife given to me by my hall. The third is a CRKT Fossil). One sheath was not as high quality of leather with the cuts being sloppy, the leather thin and uneven as,well as the dye used ran out of the leather when wet leaving it a weird pinkish color (light colored Sheth in picture). I asked to exchange it to which they informed me I could only return it, which was fine. They promptly sent me a return email but I ended up keeping it because even though it wasn't as good as the others, it did its job and is the one use at work since in not worried about ruining it. A few coats of oil made it look a bit better anyways. To fit a knife I suggest oiling the sheath and letting it set for a day or two. Then when ready, run HOT water all over the sheath for about 20 seconds then slide the knife in and work the leather around the shape of the knife.

I bought this as a soft sheath for an Opinel 6 folding knife & it fits perfectly. There's about 2cm of give at the top when the sheath is closed but that doesn't give the knife enough to slide out of the sheath when it's snapped shut. Other reviews had cited the internal stud as marking their knife handles - 2 things I'd say to that: Firstly that the design of the sheath is plain to see: There's a stud on the outside & so there'll be a stud on the inside obviously, so if your knife is precious to you, then but another sheath. Secondly, the risk of a scratch is very easy to fix - simply add a piece of canvas Sniper Tape inside to cover the stud fittings. Just a simple fix using some common sense. The only thing that is stopping me giving the sheath 5 stars is the belt fitting, which is lightly sewn on & looks like it could do with manning-up a bit. I'll reserve judgement on that until it's been used but will update after it's been on my belt for a while. Other than that, this is a nice looking, light, soft sheath that is good value for the money & it's worth a look.
