You should know these things; I have long, thick, wavy/curly hair, I also use an old, soft, thin t-shirt under this (and that works). I don’t baby anything I own, this thing has been stretched and pulled tight to the max (for YEARS). I don’t understand why both of them are still in play and highly functional. I bought the ugly grey one, as shown here. It’s boring. Who cares? This is the most impressive thing I’ve ever owned. They’re still in such great shape, I have no need or desire to buy anything else. That’s crazy. You’re going to want to try the t-shirt thing though. Just using this, WILL be awesome and you’ll get dry hair sooner. But if you’re going to cheap out (skipping silk), just use a soft t-shirt. It will fit under this. And apparently won’t wear it out with the added bulk. I mean, I have to force the loop around the button, often. And we’re still playing noggin ball after all these years. Score. I can’t remember what I paid for them, but it wasn’t enough. Rufus told me this was a flat towel which I wanted, even though it has a button that I knew about. I thought that was optional to use, but I wanted a flat towel.

Great product - bought the 2 pack n gave one to my flat mate (he loves it) cuts during time dramatically. My hair is very frizzy - this has made a huge difference.
