Why did you pick this product vs others?: I miss the little spindle that would open the can. Now that the lid must be opened with the fingers alone, it's harder to ensure a complete seal when closing. Still, great for when you have to go home and get your shinebox.

Polish is nice and smooth! The only reason I did not give it 5 starts is because Kiwi removed the lever that made opening the can easy. It took me way to long to open the can.

Haven't shined boots in over 10 years. Decided to give a pair a shine with some of the stuff I used to use (Kiwi). No more "key" on the side to open. You can literally smell the difference between the old product and the new. I don't know what entirely changed in their formula, but it's not as good as it once was.

I just received this product and was also surprised that the classic key device to open the can was not present anymore. I also read about many people here becoming frustrated from not being able to get the tin open. I have to confess I was one of those people, dismayed at trying to open this can too until... I calmed myself down and took a good look at the tin and only after some contemplation, figured out how to open it. Here's how to open the tin: On the top surface of the lid, just below the red circle logo is the word "Press" and then the lightbulb went off in my head that all I needed to do was to simply "Press" the lid right there with my thumb and middle finger and the lid popped off in less than a second. There was no spinning key to fiddle with to help pry the lid off of the tin. So simple and it taught me that I need to slow down and start reading simple instructions instead of reacting so quickly. For those reading this all you have to do is scrool to the top of this item to see where the word "Press" is located in the illustration. I hope this information is helpful.
