Perfect match replacement. Easy to install. Like the slow close lid, an upgrade for me

We had to replace this seat after a family member cracked it while standing on it to reach the cabinet above. This one doesn’t look any sturdier than the original, so don’t make that mistake! I love the self-closing feature (no more noisy clanking) but wish the manufacturer would have used sturdier attachments where the seat attaches to the tank. I’m not sure how long these ones will last and am a little hesitant to over-crank them for fear of them breaking off. We were able to secure the seat tight enough to not slip around after a few tries, I’m just unsure about the longevity.

Matched and fit perfectly. Love the soft close feature. A little pricey for the thickness, but I’m just happy it matched our older American Standard basement toilet which is no longer a popular color.

Seat's been installed for less than a week and it's already malfunctioning...the seat slides around and disconnects from the mounting hardware....the hardware is anything but since it's made out of plastic and will surely break if tighten anymore. Beyond that the inside dimensions are smaller than expected...the widest part of the opening 7.5 in and narrows dramatically seems more pointed than elongated. Altogether a terrible purchase and I'm sending it back if Amazon will take it!

I’m not sure why there are other negative reviews, I ordered this slow close toilet seat in the color Bone, and it works perfectly! I hate when toilets slam closed, so this was a necessary swap as I just moved into a new home. Easy installation, and exactly what I needed. Color match is perfect.

I ordered this to replace a lid on our American Standard toilet which recently broke. The self close mechanism failed and the lid would slam down every time if we forgot. I was skeptical about the so so reviews but I figured for the price I would take a chance and I am SO glad I did. Not only was the fit almost identical to the model we have (discontinued now), but it is so well made and sturdy, better than the original. Easy to install, took me a few minutes by myself without hubby, and it was perfect opportunity to really give my toilet a good scrub while I was at it. I foresee it lasting a long time and when it stops self closing I will repurchase. It came in an American Standard box so it is legitimate, not a knockoff. I never thought I would be so excited for a toilet seat in my life! Ha! The only thing that I can say negative is that the self close is very slow... like very slow... I wash and dry my hands before it is done but I'll take it! Highly recommend. UPDATE: About a day after I posted this I realized what people were saying. I sat down and the seat slide right out from underneath me! When I went to reattach and tighten I realized the bolts were striped and no longer gripped or tightened rendering it unstable. Will be returning and purchasing the Kohler model other reviewers have stated, even though it is not as attractive looking. I have a Kohler in our master bath and I love the seat mechanism, makes cleaning a breeze and it is secure and stable 6 years later. Maybe tightened it one time! Will update after.

Absolutely perfect replacement. Original American Standard. Took a while to get here but worth the wait. All hardware included.

Bought this seat to replace original that came with Champion 1-piece toilet. “Bottom” line: once installed it is sturdy, fits well and slow-close works fine. The photos on Amazon show the easy twist and lift off hinges like on the original— but that is not what you get. This seat is solid plastic like original, but does not lift off easily, and the installation instructions are laughable. It’s your guess which one of 3 tiny installation diagrams applies. American Standard could surely provide clearer instructions - installation was easy once you spent way too much time trying to make sense of the diagrams.
