Why does it say, use a hacksaw when it’s supposed to be place and install?

The package comes as 4 precut 6 ft sections. If you only need e.g. 15 ft, you would need to cut one 6 ft section with a hacksaw to get a 3 ft section and match it with 2 six ft sections to get a total length of 15 ft. If you have a vise and hacksaw, no problem.

What is the height of the product?

The product height is 4 inches. The measurement of each piece is 1/8” thick by 4” height by 6 foot length. There are 24’ or 4 pieces to a box for a total of 34 linear feet. Hope this helps

Is this item aluminum?

Yes this product is aluminum and therefore it won't rust and is flexible if you need curvature and is very strong.
