I don't have the impact sports, but compared to the impact pros, I HATE these. If someone else is shooting somewhere, these cut off noise completely. The Impact Pros will shut out the bangs and simultaneously let you hear conversations. These won't do that, they just go to full sound-proof mode. Useless for me at competitions. These are actually more comfortable and compact, though.

can I use these with military kelvar helmet?

Yes, I use these as a U.S. Marine and they fit perfectly underneath my Kevlar. You'll need to adjust your chinstrap though.

will these work for loud yard appliances like blowers and lawn mowers?

Yes, they will work as standard ear muffs while in a loud environment, but the microphone volume is tied to the input volume. I tried to use these while mowing and listening to music at the same time. By turning the volume knob up, it also increased the volume of the mic and mower, downing out the music.

Do the peltor gel cups fit these?

Gel Cups from Swat-Tac & ComTac fit the Peltor Tactical 500. Other Gel Cups will not fit. I hope this answers your concern. I got this answer directly from a Peltor Executive. Respectfully, ted
