The first 5 volumes of Simon Scarrow's "Eagles" series, are fast paced, enjoyable books featuring Roman centurions and legionaries of the first century AD. You can tell that the author has a real passion for the subject.

Exciting series - a real page-turner, very addicting and entertaining. The historical depictions of life in the Ancient Roman Empire were vivid and fascinating. Need to get more of this series.

i really enjoyed every book in the series. The two characters provided interest and credibility. The battle scenes were gory, but vividly written. Now I have to read the next books in the series.

Great series, box set is convenient and well priced.
