Audio NS-F150 Floor Standing Speaker - Each (Black)

I bought these to replace my small tower speakers that I bought originally for my home theater. These have great sound and bass power and I can finally turn up my big center speaker so I can hear people talking and not overwhelm the fronts like I did with the other set. These are great!! I would still use a separate subwoofer to round the sound out if you are really picky (I am) about sound but if not these have great bass just not as loud and deep as real subwoofer like this one. Yamaha Corporation of America SW315 Subwoofer System - Black Ash The build quality is excellent and they are very sturdy. I know because my cat jumped on one and knocked it over. It didn't hurt the speaker at all. can't say the same for the wall though LOL. You won't be disappointed. Plus you can do what I did and use your old front speakers as mids for a 7.1 set up. Edit: I have had these for 2 years now and they are still great. There is one problem and it involves pets. The speaker is tall and narrow so it's easy for a pet to knock over. Both of mine have been knocked over by my cat. They still work fine so I didn't take off a star but I wanted to point that out.

I'm a professional DJ with over 17 years experience. I use 4 Club series 15 inch PRO Yamaha's for my DJ speakers, love the sound and quality that only Yamaha produces for the price. yes you can spend more and get better, but no much better. as for with any sound system you need a good amp. pushing these speakers with a Yamaha R-S700 and they sound amazing, they handle lows very well and produce rich clean mids and highs. The receiver has an subwoofer out put but I have yet tried a sub because the Yamaha NS-F150 floor standing speaker sounds great with out one.

My hubby showed me these speakers months ago-so I remembered and purchased them for Father’s Day. He is so smitten by these new speakers everyday he comes home from work he goes to his man cave and listen to them! He couldn’t believe that I remembered but thanks me daily for theses beautiful speakers!!!

This speaker sounds wonderful. The voices, snare drums, hi hats, everything you want in a high end speaker is there. It makes you want to crank the volume up higher and higher. The highs are crisp, Mid’s are clear and not overpowering. Bass is low and clean. I highly recommend this speaker for clear sound that will make you crank up your music because the speakers Sound so balanced without Any ear fatigue. I’ve heard them all and Yamaha is number one for sound quality.

I was trying to purchase the Polk Audio speakers from Amazon but I couldn't get any of the vendors to ship to Hawaii for free. I decided to go with the Yamaha speakers and I am pretty happy with the quality of the sound from the speakers.

My speakers arrived today and I immediately hooked them up. They were replacements for a set of speakers that was over 25 years old and well past their prime. I popped a CD into the CD player and was blown away. The sound is crisp, well balanced and filled the room. I could hear all of the delicate percussion work, picking out all of the instruments. Highly recommend these speakers.

It semms like I'm the only one who purchase these speakers i felt they would sound better then they did,and i had to turn around and purchase some more speakers and i did not have it in the plan ,but they are just OK i mix these Yamaha with cerwin vega which are some good speakers in price and in sound,also i have a yamaha receiver and i felt they would be the perfect match,but not the case.they look good sitting in the house by the tv but looks is all.

Super nice

This is the first time investing in Yamaha tower speakers - and all I have to say is - I am more than happy with the sound quality and delivery from the sellers. The speakers connect easily to the amp. It is a two-minute work to connect the speakers and the amp. Currently listening to hard rock, old Bollywood songs and some instrumentals - the clarity and sound quality is great. Haven't gone beyond -20dB on the amp till now!! Also no need to purchase additional connecting wires - as they are provided in the packaging. now taking the liberty of writing an updated review almost 4 years after the purchase and continuous use of the tower speakers. the quality of sound has been great, and i would say the same as the first day of use. many of the users may have been disappointed with the sound levels - but i have tried out some really crazy levels and sounds or rather music from all round the world, different genres and have found them to be exceptionally well. i even tried out some different levels of bass with the laptop via a virtual piano, and the sound was crazy enough to rattle my window panes and even wooden frames on the cupboard. that was an amazing experience and a scary one though. thought the window glass would break any minute. but beyond the scope of experimentation - Carlos Santana played really well. but the music flowed from a CD on a BD player via a 7.2 amp. similarly The Wall was amazing. while the bass from Godsmack was equally awesome. iron maiden played smoothly and Sepultura was amazing once again. so you know the range of songs which i have been listening to. even the streaming music from Alexa have been great. like the Mongolian throat singing or the south indian prayer chants - all have been produced with equal clarity and i have been able to pick even the minutest of the sounds. classical music and bollywood have been a regular output through the speakers and have been relaxing to the ears. i even tried some dolby atmos effects audio, but via bluetooth and from YouTube and other sources - though the setup of the amp or the speakers were inadequate, still inquisitiveness got the best of me. the sounds were great and did give a sense of 360 degrees surround, still somewhere i felt it was not upto the mark. maybe a review can come up in the near future , IF , i get a new amp supporting dolby atmos! i have played many PS4 games while the amp had been connected to the setup. the experience had been too good to be true. specially with Call of Duty modern warfare. felt like being in the gameplay. what most would call as immersive experience. overall the experience has been great till now. they are too easy to connect - like plug n play - its just screw and listen! sometime back i found that one of the conical supports on one of my speakers had come loose and was slightly bent. how did it happen , i have no idea - but could not have been the result of some heavy blow. so what could it have been? took it up as - ‘ effects of regular use. wear and tear!’

Estos altavoces resultaron de gran agrado para mis oidos. Son de gran calidad en relacion al precio. Tal vez los bajos no son muy potentes, pero tengo un par de subwoofers conectados a mi receptor y en conjunto me ofrecen una gran calidad de sonido. Tanto para escuhcar musica en dos canales, como para escuchar el sonido de las peliculas, complementando el sonido envolvente del HT, esta es una gran opcion a un precio asequible.
