SkyTech RCT-MLT Fireplace Remote for Heat-N-Glow

I needed a replacement for my old Acumen RX-07 unit (relay was sticking) to control on/off, fan, and flame height - and include an on-remote thermostat. The remote is RF so the control unit can be hidden behind the bottom grate. This unit is a great replacement and was super easy to install. It wasn’t super obvious that the fan control was the same - but my photo shows that you just plug the 120v AC fan into the controller like the old Acumen. Unit even came with male/female adapters for the gas valve wiring - so I just slipped the old clips off the prongs and installed the new unit. Worked seamlessly. 10 minutes just because I dressed it in. Expensive, but only replacement for full control that I could find.

I replaced a wired thermostat for our heat-n-glo grand-xt fireplace. The wiring instructions were easy to follow. I simply unplugged the old control unit and moved the flame control solenoid wires and gas valve wires from the old unit to the corresponding (clearly labeled) terminals on the new wireless control unit and plugged the fan plug into the new controller. I had to hit the "learn" button for the remote to connect. After that everything worked as expected.

This worked great! Our old heat n glow fireplace remote stopped working. We tried replacing with a newer model receiver and it didn’t work. Ordered this one as our last hope before having to call a company and the fireplace and remote are working beautiful! Great price to compared to a few I saw elsewhere

I wanted this for flame on/off and Fan Hi/Med/Low on a 10 year old Heatilator Millivolt system. I did not want it for flame control because I want to be able to control the flame height in a power outage. In the event of a power outage I still want to be able to light the fireplace as well and this system supports that capability. Easy to install. Very nice. system. Instructions are good.

This was a direct replacement for my old unit. Worked right out of the box. The flame height works backwards but that could be just a wire swap.

Our 20-year-old gas fireplace was showing its age to the point that we needed some replacement parts, specifically, a receiver and remote control. Though the model numbers were a mismatch, the seller assured buyers that there wouldn't be a problem - and there wasn't! Delivery was as promised, so, at this point, it's all good.
