Second Update, another 11 months later: I really like this lamp, so after experiencing great customer service I bought another one. And darned if the same switch went bad in the same way on the second lamp 11 months after I bought that on. But hey, no real problem. The light still worked when I plugged it in, I just couldn't change the brightness. So I contacted customer service for this one, and they sent me another switch section. Mailed it from China, and it got here pretty quickly via DHL. While I'm very pleased with their customer service, I really wish they could look into better quality control at the factory or use a more robust switch. Still, I won't knock any stars off for that because their customer service is really top notch. Update 11 months later: The switch on my lamp went bad. A simple email to Trond and they sent me a replacement section. They didn't have one in stock so they shipped it from China. It arrived in just a few days. Fits and works perfectly. They even gave me an international tracking number, but I hardly needed it. Very prompt. I am very happy. Modern minimalist design. Easy to use, easy assembly. Nice bright light uses only 30W. Decent instructions, quality packaging. Tall lamp puts the bulbs up above eye level even for taller people. What's not to love? It comes in a little cardboard suitcase box with a carrying handle. Inside everything is plastic wrapped in form fitting foam. The parts screw together easily without gaps or bends. You can install the switch tube anywhere you want, high or low. The power converter is not polarized, so it can go in any wall socket. The power cord is a good length and the long mini-plug goes in the bottom tube securely. No wires between the tubes to get all twisted up like in lesser torchiere lamps. You can tilt and spin the light head, which is very nice. Angle the light to where you want it. 3 discrete touch sensitive switches give you 5 brightness settings, a built in setting memory, and a 30 minute timer setting. The light is white, not yellow, and is bright enough to do the job. First class. And if it lasts 5 years it will be worth every penny (pamphlet says bulbs are good for 22 years at 5 hours per day). Oh, one more thing. The base plate is a thin disk of metal the same diameter as the light head. It's heavy enough to keep this nearly 6 foot tall lamp stable even on thick carpet. And don't worry if you put it on wood floors, since the underside of the base has hidden little adhesive felt feet (complete with toes!) to prevent scratches. That's a fun touch.

I bought this lamp about 5 years ago and loved it. It's solidly built, one of the brightest I could find, and the fact that there's no cord connecting the pole sections means it's super easy to assemble AND I could take out a section and put the lamp on top of a credenza when I bought one. But sure enough – as other reviewers have noted – around year 5, the lamp started flickering and the brightness dimmed. I was bummed but I decided 5 years wasn't a bad lifespan and so I bought the lamp again. The new lamp arrived yesterday (same unit but bought a diff color this time). Works as expected. Great. Here's the interesting part. This morning, out of curiosity, I plugged the old lamp into the new power supply. Viola! The old lamp worked fine; no flickering and full brightness. It's been running fine all day. So, it appears that it's the power supply that goes after 5 years and not the lamp. I haven't found a suitable replacement for the power supply (photo attached) on Amazon yet but similar ones go for less than 15 bucks. UPDATE Two weeks later and the old lamp is still running perfectly using the new power supply. So it was definitely the power supply that failed at year 5 and not the lamp.

I bought this light because, at 5000 lumens, it was the brightest I found on Amazon. And the 3000K color temperature is a pleasing color. I bought it to replace a 300W halogen torchiere, which is also rated at 5200 lumens and 3000K color temperature, so I would expect the output from the two lamps to be the same. Admittedly I don't have the tools necessary to measure the lumens or color, but it clearly does not put out the same brightness and color. It feels significantly dimmer and cooler (though the cooler may be my perception due to the lower lumens). In the attached pictures, the 1st show just this lamp on, and the 2nd shows just the halogen lamp on. Note how much dimmer the 1st is than the 2nd; I swapped positions of the lamps in case it changed anything, but got the same results. I like that the poles have the wiring/connectors built in so I didn't have to fiddle around fishing cords through the tubes. The tubes fit together well (I wondered after seeing some competitors where the poles had a poor fit) and it looks fine, if a bit wimpy. The lamps are the same height, but this lamp is just 8.4 pounds compared to my old lamp that is 14.2 pounds and feels substantial. The base and top are about 9 inches, compared to almost 13 inches on my old lamp; and the pole is 1.0 inches compared to the old 1.5 inches. All in all, it just doesn't look or feel very substantial. Not as important as the light output, but it contributes to (or detracts from) my level of satisfaction. Overall, not what I expected. It is not really a satisfactory replacement for my old halogen torchiere. The only respect in which it is better (or even comparable) is that it consumes 30 watts instead of 300. watts. I was hoping I would love it and was going to buy another one for the other room, but I think I'll keep looking.

These lamps are fantastic…..I have bought a few of them now in the last month, one in almost every room and gifts for a few people. The light lifts our mood so much better than traditional lighting. My husband also loves them. I am recommending them for anyone who needs that extra mood lift during the dark and overcast cloudy days especially in winter months. Also they are so easy to put together and love that it has a few levels of light. No regrets.

Sturdy and serves it purpose. Does not have the various light types (3000/6000/etc.), but those were at a higher price point. The Floor lamps are great - we got 3 of them. Low wattage means you can add them up to boost the actual lumens available in a room. I am sure the tilt and pan movement of the lamps is used and appreciated by many; We were perfectly happy with their standard upward facing position.

This floor lamp is light weighted, dimmable and sleek. The base is thin but very sturdy. My robot vacuum can go on to it to clean the base surface without problem. Well packed and super easy to assemble "them" (because I bought one more 2 weeks later 🤭 ) 5 minutes can set it up for sure. In the dark, I can see the blue light switch button clearly too. Well done. Love it Love it Love it.

This light has a modern look to it and I got the 3000k warm light. The light came in a small box which surprised me. It was very well packaged from the factory. It was delivered in a good package. Fast delivery. Instructions are easy to follow. What was unique is that there is no cord running through the poles. The base is heavy and so is the dome light. Very sturdy light the manufactors really put thought into the design of this light. It is very easy to setup. Like others have said the blue light is always on when light is off. But I don't mind it. Using the light in a living room that is dark and no overhead lighting. During the day the sun through the patio doors produce more light. In the evening the light only does a portion of the living room. So ordered another to compensate the other half of the room. The dome gets pretty warm for LEDs so make sure you adjust the light the way you want it before turning it on for a while if you need to adjust. The light does have a brightness that I feel is nice for those that can not stand a super bright light. At max it is comparable to my 60 watt bulb table lamp without the shade. The light will diffuse a warm soft lighting off the wall when placed in the corner of a room when you slightly angle it off the wall that is white. This light be good for a much smaller room size than what I have. Perfect for a 10x10 room which is why I ordered a second one. I can not comment on the life of this light. But if the manufactor put thought into the construction. I will give another review if there is any other issues. Hence minus one star. I cannot comment on the seller as I have no need to contact. But as far as I can tell the product is described as stated. For the price it could be a little lower in the 80 range. But given the quality and little time used I guess will see if it was worth the price over time.
